Fit Bit ( WE CAN DO IT!)

Fit Bit (We can Do it!)
Yesterday at Bible study, the question was posed, “How do we inspire the church to pray for the church?

This question seemed to stump our small group.  Then we realized, “we are the church!”  The new question became, “How do we inspire each other to pray?”.

Sometimes when we study the “WORD”, we can forget it is for our every moment.  The amazingness of the Bible is that is it applicable hear and now, in all we think, say and do.

When I live in the peace of God, my life is better.  I receive the peace of God by trusting in the grace, mercy and forgiveness given through the work of Jesus Christ, on the cross for each of us.  I remember to live in His peace by, reading the Bible as if it were food to nurture my body.  It is the food I need to nurture my soul.  I also remember to live in peace by fellowshipping with other beautiful Christian women.  We are called to fellowship with each other and inspire each other through prayer and good speaking.

The other day, my dear friend and I went for a walk, after about a half hour; we realized we had been complaining about our struggles for the entire time.  We STOPPED and turned our focus to what we are thankful for.  We decided when we get together; we will start our walks with thanksgiving.  We are the church.  If, as the church, we gossip and complain, what good is our ministry??

WE CAN DO IT!!  Be inspired to live in Christian fellowship.  Pray for each other and build each other up.  Remind each other Jesus is with us, loving each of us intimately, all the time.  That is the basis for healthy relationships.  That is the basis for a healthy church.

Ecclesiastes 4:12  “And if one prevails against him two shall with stand him and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

Mathew 28:20  “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.  Amen.”

Fit Bit ( Intensely)

Fit Bit (Intensely)
Proverbs 20:13  “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.”

Recently my Dear Uncle Pete went on to be with our Lord.  WOW, what a guy!  He was INTENSELY PASSIONATE ABOUT LIFE AND WORK.  He gave true meaning to work hard and play hard.  He had a purpose every morning when he awoke.  He loved God, his family and making a difference.  He had been retired 20 years from the Hermantown School district, but he had never stopped working.   He worked in his garden, he worked in the woodshop, he worked at helping others.  We are not called to sleep or play our life away, but to give it away.  That was my Uncle Pete.

I try to help others live Holy, Healthy and Happy lives.  A key component to this is to not be weary in well doing but in everything do it unto the Lord.  Sleep is necessary to refresh us.  Play also in important.  Laughter is good medicine.  Work, feels good and helps us with our purpose.   When we are productive, we feel stronger and more valuable.  Jesus loves us always.  We are saved by His grace alone.  Yet when we work, diligently unto the Lord, our attitude toward life is better.  This helps us be healthier.

My physical health is starting to fail me in my joints.  My career as a firefighter may be over.  Yet even as I face retirement from one avenue of my life I do not feel like my work is done.

How are you doing?  Do you live with intense passion for work?

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
