FIT BIT (Understood and strengthened)

Fit Bit
(Understood and strengthened)

Isaiah 40:28-29. “Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary and His understanding no one can fathom.  29. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

Do you ever wish someone could truly understand you?  Jesus does!!
Do you ever feel weak and weary and need strength? Jesus gives!!

When I read these verses today, I was so comforted to think of how Jesus truly understands me.  He sees my every move, good and bad and understands my why.  I find such comfort in that.  Many times when I do something against, my character or against what I know is God’s way, I can really feel like “ How am I going to explain this one to God?”  This verse reminds me, He understands.  Knowing I am understood, helps me, it gives me strength.  Verse 29  states, “He give strength to the weary.”.  Sometimes, that weary is me.  I don’t feel like finishing what I start or…don’t want to get started in the first place.  When we start a wellness or fitness routine, it is important to keep on keeping on.  Just like bathing it only works if you keep it up.  Today, be inspired to get to it!  Know that if you mess up God understands and He will give you the strength to get up and keep going.

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” Phil. 4:13
“Do not weary in well doing” Gal. 6:9

Fit Bit ( 50th Earth day is God's day!!)

Fit Bit (Earth day is God’s day !)

Today is the 50th anniversary of Earth day!!  When I think of the first Earth day I think of Hippies and flowers.   I also think of my oldest son, who is 30 today.  So what does all that have to do with wellness in Jesus?  Thankfulness, that’s what!  Earth day is the celebration that we have been given this amazing planet to be good stewards of.
Genesis 2:15. “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.”
Thankfulness is an intrigal part of our ability to be healthy and well.   I remember the first time I could feel my child turn and kick inside of me…how wonderful!  The amazing gratitude I felt as I gazed at him for the first time is incomparable.  All of you parents know what I am talking about.  It’s a joy you can’t explain!  When we live in Joy and thanksgiving it gives us strength to go through tough times and truly enjoy the good times.

Psalm 118:24  “Today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Today, may you be inspired to be a good steward of all God has given you!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit ( Know you are Treasured)

Fit Bit (Know you are treasured)

Years ago, when I was at the extreme depths of my brokenness, I felt so lonesome and unworthy.
When I went to read my Bible, I just couldn’t “get it”.  Then, I decided to roll out of bed at 5 am and watch Joyce Meyer.  Her ministry really helped me. Eventually I started reading my Bible and “getting it"….which truly helps me even more!!!   There is so much power in the word of God!!!  One thing she said, was to practice every-time you look into the mirror stop and say, “I am a beautiful child of God!  At first, I really struggled with this.  I didn’t believe I was His righteousness. All I could see when I looked into the mirror was my brokenness.  But, I did keep telling myself I was His beautiful child.   This practice helped me.  Why it helped me, is because; I kept reminding my self, I was not my sin.  Jesus took my sin on the cross.  I am His righteousness.  Jesus gave me His righteousness in exchange for my sin.  Plus He rose from the dead and that is what I get through Him, eternal life.  Looking into the. Mirror and professing my faith, helps me remember, I am treasured.  This state of mind and heart battles my broken, lonely, unworthy feelings.   It helps me live in victory through Jesus.  I hope it helps you too.

Dueteronomy 14:1-2 “ You are  the children of the Lord you God.  Do not cut yourselves or shave the front of your heads for the dead, 2 for you are a people holy to the Lord your God.  Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be His treasured possession.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit BIt ( TGIF)

Fit Bit (TGIF!!!)

Isaiah 53:4-6  “ Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet, we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted.  5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. 6 We are all like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

When I hear the chimes of my clock, I know an other hour is gone by.  When I look at the cross, I know that my sins have been laid upon it.  Yet, sometimes I hold onto my sins.  I don’t hold onto last hour.  There is nothing I can do to bring back time past.  Many times I wish I could change the past, but I know I cant.  I intentionally decide to trust God with all that has happened and try my best to move forward in my present hour.  .  I hear the chimes and its a reminder to let go and move forward.

To be truly healthy and well we need to accept the forgiveness Jesus died on the cross, to give us.  Today, we remember, “IT IS FINISHED!”  He paid the price for all our sins yesterdays’, todays’ and tomorrows’ and He remembers them no more.  He took the punishment for us on Good Friday.  This is GOOD!!   When we live in guilt and shame and continue to beat ourselves up for things we have done wrong, there is not benefit in that.  When we accept we have sinned, Jesus paid the eternal penalty for us and now… we turn from our sin and move into the next hour.  This is repentance; turning from the sins that have so easily ensnared us and pressing forward toward the mark, the high calling of God.  Healthy in Jesus is knowing, what He did for us on the cross, lets us live fully today, in our present moment, with hope for our future.  Hope is Health!
Today, we can look at the darkness of Good Friday, but I’d rather focus on the fact;
SON DAY IS COMING!!  We wouldn’t have Easter, if we didn’t have Good Friday.
I hope this little Fit Bit helps you to remember to THANK GOD FOR FRIDAY!!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
