Fit Bit ( Hole in your heart?)

 Fit Bit (Hole in your heart?)

Do you have a hole in your heart?  Are you searching for meaning?  Are you always trying to find something or someone that fulfills you?

JESUS!

He is the only one that can fill a deep longing for better.

I have called myself a Christian for many years.  Yet, over these years, I have felt a hole in my heart.  I have tried to fill that hole, with other things like alcohol, relationships, exercise and food.  What I have learned is, when I try to fill myself with anything aside from JESUS the satisfaction is only temporary.   When I draw near to God, He draws near to me, filling me with His Holy Spirit, that I may firmly TRUST JESUS as my Lord and Savior.  With this foundation, His streams of living water flow through and from me.  This way I am not only full, but overflowing, which is a wonderful way to live.

James 4:8. “Come near to God, and He will come near to you.”

John 4:14. “ but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thrust.  Indeed the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Thins that are good for us like, exercise and healthy relationships are wonderful, but let’s be careful that we  are being filled with God and His Word, for our true fulfillment.

Be fit, be blessed and be full!!

Fit Bit ( Into the light/ Good fight)

Fit Bit (Into the light!!)

COLOSSIANS 3:13 “WHO HATH DELIVERED US FROM THE POWER OF DARKNESS, AND HATH DELIVERED US INTO THE KINGDOM OF HIS DEAR SON;

Into the light and out of the darkness!!!!   When I think of being healthy and fit I think of it as walking in the light of our Dear Lord.  My poor wellness behavior is often done in secret, or at least something I don’t advertise about myself.  If I take and extra bowl of ice cream, or think judgmental thoughts toward others or decide to just not clean or do the yard work. Those are all examples of how I am not using my life to do my best for our Lord.   Many people today, encourage each other to just….NOT.  I think that is so wrong.  We can encourage ourselves easily, to be lazy and NOT.

    My nephew is a Police Officer and has great disciple for working out.  In the gym he surrounds himself with people to help him push.  In His career, he needs his fellow officers to encourage him to keep up the try.  In my career as a Fire Fighter, I needed my fellow comrades to help me stay on the top of my game.  In our Christian walk and in our quest to stay fit and strong, we need that too.  Today be inspired to encourage someone to walk in the light!!

I hope this little Fit Bit today helps you be encouraged to keep fighting the good fight!!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
