Fit Bit ( FEELING PATHETIC)

Fit Bit (feeling pathetic)
Dear Kimberly,
I had started out thinking I would control my spending and eat healthier as a way to honor God this Lent season.  So far I am a complete failure.  I do not know why I reason away good behavior and do the same old same old.  I feel so pathetic and I am starting to loose hope.  What can I do to break my overspending and over eating?

Sincerely,

Feeling Pathetic

Dear Beautiful child of God,

You are not pathetic, nor will you ever be.  You are a beautiful child of God regardless of your behavior here on earth.  Yes, good behavior helps us, but it is not what we do that determines our worth it is what He did for us on the cross.  Stop, beating yourself up.  Pick yourself up and keep trying.

The word STOP is powerful.  When you are about to reason yourself into spending or eating things you know are not right say the word STOP!  Then say a prayer and ask God for His strength and wisdom.  He is with you 24/7.  His Holy Spirit is already guiding you.  You are convicted of your need to change.  Keep listening to His word.  The more you resist the bad behavior and do the desired behavior the easier it is to continue on in the right direction.  Don’t look back keep looking forward.  We all fail; our success is determined by our ability to keep trying.  You can do this, keep trying, and forgive yourself when you mess up.   Always remember you have been made beautiful through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:10  “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Roman 12:21  “ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (Lent/Valentines)

Fit Bit (Lent/Valentines)
Dear Friends,

This is a very holy time, Lent.  During this time we are preparing for the Easter celebration.  How perfect that Valentines day and Ash Wednesday were back to back this week.  Our Heavenly Father loved each of us so much that He sent His only begotten son to live and die for us.  Jesus loved us, each so much that He voluntarily, suffered and died for us.  Because of Him, we can love, because He first loved us.  God breathed the breath of life into each of us and filled with His Holy Spirit,  we can accept His love and love others.  What a perfect Valentine.

John 3:16-17  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world;  but that the world through Him might be saved.”

During this Lent season, how are you preparing?  Many years I have run a Lent challenge were we try to commit to a behavior that will help our lives be more Christ centered.  This year, even though we are starting late, we still have time.  No one is perfect, not one.   It is not about us doing this perfect.  Let this Lent season; motivate you to walk a better walk.

What will you do to prepare your heart?

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (I give)

Dear Kimberly,

I have been trying to be a helpful person, I have been trying to spread the Good News, and I have been trying to treat my body like a temple not a trashcan.  I’m tired, and I am not seeing the fruits of my labor.  I was real motivated after I attended your seminar but now, not so much.  How do I keep from giving up?

Sincerely,

I give

Dear Give,

God knows your heart.  Don’t be weary in well doing.

Many times, We do not see the fruits of our labor, yet faith and the Bible tells us that God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Grace saves you, it is not your actions that determine your salvation it is what Jesus did for you on the cross.  Try to simple bask in knowing that Jesus loves you just the way you are.  You are a beautiful child of God, whether you do everything right or not.  None one us can do everything right.  (Not one of us)  When you are feeling like giving up concentrate on His unconditional love and pray.  He will fill you with His strength and you will find the power to “keep on keeping on”.

Luke 18:5  “Yet, because the widow troubleth me, I will avenge her lest by her continual coming she weary me.”
Psalm 31:24 “Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the LORD.”

Open His word the Bible, It is the power cord!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
