Abide and thrive!

John 15:5 " I am the vine, you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing. ".    Abide in Jesus!    What does that look like?   For me it's taking time to read His word daily, praying intentionally about many, many things and resting in trusting He loves me and the ones I love more then I can imagine.    For me to " Abide" in Him.   I have to intentionally exhale and give Him, all my moments, the good and the hard.  I thank Him during it all, trusting He has got it all under control: Especially when I don't see it.    I hope this helps you intentionally "Abide" in Him today too. 😇🙏❤️🌸🦅

He has us engraved on the palms of His hands!

Psalm 100:3 " Know that the Lord is God.   It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture."   Isaiah 49:16 " See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."    He is with us always!!! He loves us and we are His!  He never forgets us.  He knows and loves every hair on our heads and He loves the ones we love  even more then we do.   Gods got this.... TRUST and give thanks.  😇🙏❤️🌸🦅 

Instantly….?

I was reading Dr David Jeremiah's devotional today.    He said, "Be instant in prayer, God is instant in answering our prayers, but we might not see His answer instantly.    I like this reminder. That just because I don't see an immediate answer to my prayers that doesn't mean God hasn't answered them.   Seemingly unanswered prayers have been a big struggle for me which brings me back to TRUST.     Gods timing is not our timing He answers us in an instant but it might take our lifetime to see His answer.  The only way I can stay well and “keep the faith” is by trusting in Gods ways and His time.    Romans 12:12 "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." In King James Version it says ” instant in prayer “😇❤️🦅🙏🌸

Your Day Lord, Your way

 Your day, Your way Dear Lord.... You be my strength and my song today and always😇🦅🌸🙏❤️.              Nehemiah 8:10 " Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat and drink the sweet and send portions unto them whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength!"      Your way, Your day!!   I like this little saying today.  I hope you do too and it helps you " Go with the flow" trusting Jesus all the way with His joy in your ❤️ heart 😇

New Song

Psalm 40:1-3 " I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.  2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.  3He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.  4. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods."    He brought me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire and He set my feet upon a ROCK!    Wow.  Powerful!!   When I read this I think of my alcoholism.   It's the Rock of Jesus that keeps me clean.  I never want to forget the day I had an illumination of my soul and realized I was forgiven and washed clean   I was given a fresh start through Jesus Christ.   Many people have not fallen into the depths of slimy, mud and mire like I have, but each of us have our own sins we contend with.   Today be inspired to give those sins to Jesus let Him wash you clean and set your feet upon His rock!!   Let Him put a new song in your heart!!😇🙏🌸🦅❤️

Equipped

Hebrews 13:21 " equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever Amen. ".   Ephesians 2:10 " For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."   One of my friends mentioned Anxiety this morning.  We are to be " anxious for nothing" trusting God all the way.   One thing that helps me get out of my head and look up is by trusting that God has good things for me to do, even in the middle of my current trouble.   When I actively help others it helps me see, my troubles are just tools to help me be a better help.    I hope you like this perspective today too.    😇❤️🙏🌸🦅

The way of everlasting

Psalm 139:23 "Search me , O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way of everlasting."   Lead me to the way of everlasting.   Even if we get 80-100 years here on Earth it's just a moment compared to eternity.   Today be inspired to let go of your ways and look to God, ask Him for His direction.      I have noticed unless God is  in it, it doesn't work well anyways😇❤️🌸🙏🦅

Better not Bitter

James 1:2 " Consider it pure joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."   Mature and complete, not lacking anything 😇. Trials are certainly difficult.   Perseverance and endurance with joy is so admirable.   Yesterday I met a woman who had such a tremendous peace and beauty about her.    She had just come though her husbands 10 year battle with ALS and his passing last July.   She certainly misses him, yet during her grief she radiates Beauty and peace.  She has let her trial draw her near to Jesus so she is better not bitter.    We all continually face many trials.  Ask yourself, am I becoming a better or bitter person?    Be fit and be blessed always😇🙏❤️🦅🌸

Blow your house down?

Matthew 7:24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house upon a ROCK."    Don't just be hearers of the words but Doers of the WORD!  If we want to truly learn something we must Do It!   Learning reasearch shows that if we simply just read something we forget  about 90% of it 

If we simply hear something we can forget about 75% of it.      If we read, hear and do something we are likely to fully retain the knowledge.    Don't let Gods word simply go in one ear and out the other, today read, hear and do what the word says so your feet can be on solid ground.   😇🙏❤️🌸🦅.

Rise up!

Rise Up!!   Psalm 20:8 "They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm."    I love this verse today.  We rise up and stand firm with Jesus!!   Rise up!!   Many times I fall to my knees so I can Rise Up!!    Bottom line many times I fall......He keeps helping me up😇.   Never give up ....Rise up with Jesus let Him be your strength and your song!! I hope you like this today too.😇🙏🦅🌸❤️

Fight the good fight!

1Timothy 6.11 " But you man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12 fight the good fight of faith.  Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, when you made your confession in the presence of many witnesses. ". Fight the good fight of faith!!!   That's so empowering!!   One of my friends said ,"Yes but I'm all alone" my friend looses encouragement when left by himself.    We are never alone, we have Jesus!!  We can take His presence in our lives and share it, there are always people we can go invest in.    Be encouraged to go SHINE for Jesus today in your good fight of faith!!!!   He is with you always!!   Matthew 28:20 " Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

TRUST

Jeremiah 17:7-8 " But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.  8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; it's leaves are always green.   It has no worries in a year of draught and never fails to bear fruit."  TRUST.  It's my favorite word.  It's a word that calms me and helps me refocus and remember, Jesus has it all.    I'm very type A.   I like to "make things happen".  I know that God made me this way for a purpose.  I just have to be careful to make sure my purpose aliens with His word the Bible.   I hope you like these verses today too.    TRUST.  Jesus has it all!   

TRUST and SHINE!

"SHINE!"   Let His light Shine through you. Today and always no matter what!!    I have often said my favorite word is TRUST.  My second favorite word is SHINE.  We've all heard the expression "rise and shine" I like “Trust and Shine” better.    Today I was thinking of my time as a young mom.   My twins didn't sleep through the night tell they were five.   My Aunt Bonnie told me to embrace those moments in the middle of the night   Because soon you won't be able to rock your babies, they'll be to big.    That's life. We can complain about what is happening or we can embrace our moments.  Paul said that he asked God to remove the thorn from his side but God did not.   He said it was to keep him from becoming conceited.   ( 2 Corinthians 12:7).  We can not possibly understand this life, yet we can seize the day if we TRUST and SHINE!! Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in Heaven ."  😇❤️🌸🦅🙏

His Grace...Our Strength!

2 Corinthians 12:9 " But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.  For when I am weak then I am strong."    Today no matter what is happening .....be encouraged to be Strong in Jesus!! His grace is sufficient, for when we are weak, we are strong in Christ!!!  Go be strong with endurance in Jesus!! 😇🙏🦅❤️🌸

Be anxious for nothing

Philippians 4:4 " Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice!  5 Let your gentleness be evident to all.   The Lord is near.  6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanks giving, present your requests to God.  7 and the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  "   Give it all to God and wait patiently for His answer,  trusting His answer is the best.     Today I was also in the book of Habakkuk 1:2 " How long, O Lord, must I call for help but you do not listen?"    The Lord replied Habakkuk 2:4 " See he is puffed up; his desires are not upright-but the righteous will live by his faith."    Through out time we people have been yelling" God where are you?"   He has been saying.... I'm right here holding you.   TRUST ME.  Back  to Philippians 4.   Be anxious for nothing! In all things, ask God in faith, trust and thanks giving and we will Know His Peace!

True love?

 Peaceful, Quiet, Patiently waiting..contemplating  all things in love.  Psalm 37:34 “Wait for the Lord and keep His way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off you will see it.”  ...37:37” Consider the blameless, observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace.”   37:31 “The Law of God is in His heart; his feet do not slip.”   Peaceful, Quiet, Patiently waiting, contemplating  all things in love.   Doing all things in love...... yesterday a friend of mine said, “ what if the “feeling” of love goes away.  My advise was , get it back!   Love is not a feeling it’s a choice.   Love is an active verb.  Jesus said,"love the Lord your God with all your heart , mind and soul and love your neighbor as I have loved you." That’s our standard.   Not just love,  if you feel like it.   Today,  be inspired to quietly contemplate if you are truly choosing love.😇🙏🦅❤️🌸We have to Love God first, and accept His love for us ,,,,,we can’t share what we don’t have

He must become greater!

 John 3:21"But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."   ....John 3:27 John replied,"A man can receive only what is given him from Heaven."  ......John 3:30" He must become greater; I must become less."   If what we do and who we are is based on walking in His light and doing His will ....it just works!   Unless God is in it, I can try really really hard, but it won't work.     I was reading Psalm 47 the other day and it talked about sorcery, that's kinda like what I do when I'm trying to make things happen on my own accord.   Today, as I read John Chapter 3 it reminds me everything I have is from God. When I use my time and talents in a Jesus centered manor, my life takes on a higher level of " worth it ".   I hope this helps you today too remember, all we have is His.... He must become greater we become lesser.    Ask yourself can people see Christ in me?    Let the light of Jesus SHINE bright in you today!😇🌸🙏❤️🦅

A cheerful heart is good medicine

Proverbs 17:22 "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."  See what's right and intentionally chose Joy.      Wow!   There are many things in this life that are simply painful.   Yet amongst the pain is also tender moments of joy, little miracles and times of comfort that help me say,"Thank you God" .   Jesus said, " in this world you will have trouble, but fear not I have overcome the world."  I'm thinking of the song" I never promised you a rose garden".   Be encouraged to look up, so you can keep your chin up no matter what.   The only way I know to even try to have a cheeerful heart is to let the Joy of the Lord fill my heart even in the pain. I hope today you can look at what's right and chose Joy.   😇🌸🙏🦅❤️.  Gods got it all of everything in His capable hands, He is working all things out for His glory.

Never give up!

Ephesians 4:19 "Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more."  Giving up and giving in to sin, is what I think of when I read this.    That's what I felt like right before I quit drinking.   I had spent 29 years trying to quit.  I said to God, "I can't".   I would wake up every morning wanting to be different but, I just couldn't leave the sin.  I almost gave myself completely over to it.  I almost quit trying to quit.  Thank you Jesus! for helping me not give myself over to the sin but giving me a new hope to change.  Ephesians 4:22 " You were taught with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in attitude of your minds; 24 and put on your new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."   Proverbs 24:16" For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity."    I did suffer with calamity before I finally quit.  Yet today I am truly restored.   I wish that meant I was " sin free" I'm not.  But what I have is a desire to keep trying to leave the old behind and press forward to the high calling of God.   I thank God, He helps me live life sober.   I praise Him that my hearts desire is to live a life worthy of his calling even as I continually fall short His Holy Spirit helps me keep putting on my try!!!   Today no matter how many times you fall, keep getting up, keep putting on your try.   You will eventually be a conqueror in Christ Jesus!!!😇🙏❤️🦅🌸 Never give up!!!
