Lent Wellness Challenge Day 27
Good Morning,
Yesterday’s note to help us be inspired to avoid compromise may have seemed a bit extreme. Yet if we open the door for negative defeated thinking it can start to bull dose our lives.
Our thoughts are within our control. We get random crazy thoughts at times. Thoughts of self-defeat, jealousy, anger, hatred, hopelessness and unforgiveness can snowball into destroying our day and our lives. Often these destructive thoughts are pointed toward ourselves and those closest to us. These types of thoughts are crazy and not rational. We are children of God. Jesus died to free us from our sins. We are washed clean. Our sins have been taken away form us and removed as far as the east is from the west. When we think toward the negative it is the opposite of Faith. Each of us has within ourselves the ability to redirect our thoughts. Just as a baby can go from hysteria to joy in an instant so can we.
Basic behavioral science shows us that;
1 thought + 1 thought + 1 thought = feeling
Feeling + 1 thought = action
Jesus teaches us that we are to Love others and ourselves as He loves us. With His love we treat ourselves well and be able to honor our bodies as His temples. Thoughts that are not loving in nature are not of God.
Today, let’s ask ourselves are we in loving faith?
James 1:13 “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil neither He temptith any man.”
Be fit and be blessed,
Kimberly
