Fit Bit (Look for the rainbow)
This past weekend I was able to be a part of helping pamper
Mom’s of children with disabilities.
When I went into this I was truly not realizing what many of them have
to deal with on a daily basis. Many
haven’t slept through the night in years, or have to deal with toileting issues
on a daily basis. I went into the
weekend hoping to recover my cost by selling my DVD’s. I left, wanting to give them more. I went there to “Do my thing”, with “Music,
Movement and a Message”. I left there
touched by their love, patience and kindness.
It takes a special person to be loving and kind through a storm. Thank you Mom’s for helping me see the
rainbow.
Emily Colson was the Key Note for this event. Her testimony was learning how to embrace her
son’s disability and not be overwhelmed by it.
He has autism. Her story was
finding the rainbow (Dancing with Max).
I sat next to a woman that has a child that is four years old, non
verbal and has toileting issues. Her
rainbow may be harder to find. Yet,
Jesus says He will never leave us or forsake us, He says, He will be with us
always. (Mathew 28:20) For me, my storms seem small compared to others, yet in
the midst of my storms, they can feel overwhelming. The only way, I get through my storms, is to
remember Jesus loves me and He loves the ones I love even more then I do. This helps me see the rainbow.
Today, whatever your circumstances may entail, see the
rainbow.
Psalm 30:5 “ For his anger endureth but a moment; in
his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the
morning”
Psalm 31:24 “
Be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the
Lord.”
Be fit and be blessed,
Kimberly
