2 Corinthians 10:5 "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ." This verse is so powerful! Take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ Jesus π. Yesterday. I screwed up right away in the morning and I beat myself up about it most of the day. How ridiculous. Once it was over it was over. I pushed through my mess up by reminding myself that God knew that I would do that and He loves me anyway. He can take all things and work them out for His glory. It is easy to have poor health because of poor thinking. I can talk myself into laziness, junk food and missing church. My life is healthier and happier when I take every thought captive and turn my "stinking thinking" into peace with Jesus. I hope this helps you today too. ππΈ❤️ππ¦ . Proverbs 23:7 " As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he". Be careful what you think!

Holy. Is the foundation of Healthy and Happy
Leviticus 11:45 " I am the Lord who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be Holy because I am Holy." Be Holy because I am Holy. This is in my heart today. What does it mean to "be Holy"? For me that means spending time reading the Bible and thinking about what it says and how it applies to my thinking and actions. Today I was in Philippians chapter 2. 2:3 " Do nothing out of selfishness ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better then yourself." Be Holy because I am Holy, Those words are so powerful! I think of being Holy as being love, with a sincere reverence for God through Jesus Christ. For me to do this I truly have to take the time to "be still" and TRUST He is God. ( Psalm 46:10). I hope these couple verses help you today too. Be Holy because He is Holy!πππΈπ¦ ❤️

Amazing
Jeremiah 17:7 But blessed is the man who trust in the Lord, who's confidence is in Him". I've been I AZ with my Aunt Karen, we went to Grand Canyon it was magnificent π. It's an amazing display of Gods' power. He is also very intimate and knows everything each of us are going through. He is simply AMAZING!!! ππΈπ❤️π¦ .

Helping your Brother not stumble
Romans 14:21 " It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall." In my sobriety and in my Christian walk it's very important for me to be with like minded people. I find that if I hang out to long with people who are drinking , I start thinking about drinking. If I hang out with people who are eating poor choices in food, I start thinking ....why not? When I hang out with people who are grumbling and complaining I too start seeing what wrong. It's so important to try our best to walk the walk in love and try to be with others that walk the walk too. We are called to love all people and not be judging I'm not saying anyone is above someone else. But when we surround ourselves with the behaviors we want to leave behind. It's very hard not to go back to them. I hope this helps you today. Be the friend God has called you to be and help your sister or brother by not engaging in any behavior that will potentially hurt an other. πππΈ❤️π¦

His strength in our weakness
2 Corinthians 12:9 " But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you , for my power is made perfect in weakness. " Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." I love this todayπ. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Years ago one of my dear friends husband, who is highly successful, told me when he wants to relate to others, he talks about his struggles and his weaknesses not his successes. He said, “everyone can relate to weakness and struggles.” I have never forgotten that. In AA we talk about our weaknesses and very importantly how to walk in victory regardless of our disease. That is so true for our Christian walk. We all have weakness and struggles even if we've been walking with the Lord as long as we remember. I know God uses my weaknesses to keep me humble and remember all my true victories come from and through Him. Today, I hope this helps you remeber no matter what your struggle, His grace is sufficient for you and His power is made perfect in your weaknessπππΈ❤️π¦

Deep roots grow strong trees
Matthew 13:21 " But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away." Today as I read this it reminded me of how many times I have fallen away from the passion in my faith I have been a Christian my entire life, but many times you wouldn't have been able to tell. Trouble would come and I'd forget Jesus was with me. Happiness would come and I'd forget to Thank God for the blessing. The only way I have learned to keep Our Lord Jesus front and center in my life trusting Him in all things is by daily devoting myself to spend time in His word. This daily practice keeps me strong. I am still very humane and forget to call on Him or thank Him but usually I can keep my chin up cuz I'm looking up! That only happens because I try to daily root deep in Gods word. How deep are your roots? Deep roots in Jesus are the only way I know to true health and wellness ππΈππ¦ ❤️

The Waiting.
Psalm 27:14 "Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." This verse says it all. Not our way or our timing but trust in the waiting. I look at my life and realized most of it is spent in the waiting. My problem is I'm not naturally a very patient woman. I can be a humane doing verses a humane being. TRUST and WAIT. Waiting is the ultimate Trusting. I hope this helps you hang tight and give things to God today. I like the saying, "Do your best and let God do the rest". We of course have to " Do" The Bible says "those that don't work will not eat" but ultimately it's God who's got it all. I hope this helps you find the balance today as you wait upon the LordππΈππ¦ ❤️

Walk in His Grace and Mercy to be filled and have strength
1 Corinthians 15:22 " For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive." When I was walking in sin without a repentant heart I was very empty inside and could never be filled. Then Jesus! I would love to say I'm sin free but that's not going to happen while I'm here in my earthly body. But I do have a sincere desire to try, to live a life pleasing to God knowing each moment, I am cleansed and given mercy and grace to make it to my next moment. With Jesus even in the darkness I'm not alone and continually full, even if my own strength is zapped. I hope this verse helps you walk in His grace and Mercy today tooπ

Repent and Believeπ
Mark1:14" After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 "The time has come. " He said. "The Kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" Repent and believe! Repentance is huge. I need to take a person inventory daily so that I remember to take head to attitudes and behaviors I don't want in my life and intentionally let them go and let Jesus in to fill me instead of filling myself with the crap I can get consumed with. I hope this helps you too. Shake off the sin that so easily ensnares you and hang tight to the new life of forgiven and "made right " with Jesus. On our own each of us fall short , but Jesus ππΈπ❤️π¦ He takes our filthy rags and gives us His glory. Just because we repent and believe!! So simple..... just believ!!

Sickly? Look upπ
Yesterday I got the flu. It's weird for me to feel sickly. One of my best friends is in her final days of battling pancreatic cancer. When I found out she was sick, I envisioned having the most fun we could tell she went home. It's really hard to " have fun" when you feel sick. John 5:24 " I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believe him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." As I read this verse today. I was thinking of how much better we will feel when we go home to His glory. We can also feel better in our hear and now. Know that Jesus is with us and is loving us though whatever we are going through in our temporary body's and lives. I hope this helps you today face what ever it is, keep you chin up as you look up to Him!ππΈπ❤️π¦
Strength no matter what!!
Isaiah 41:30-31. " Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like Eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." I always love these verses. After feeling so sickly these past couple days, it's a good reminder to me that my true strength comes from the Lord, my body will grow tired and weary but this body is only my temporary home. I have a new glorious body to look forward to. In the meantime. I will keep looking up to keep my strength upππ΄. I hope this helps you too remember; Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things, through Christ who give me strength." Happy Saturday π

Anxious anticipation
Isaiah 43:18 " Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not Perceive it? I am making a way in the dessert and streams in the wasteland." He is making our way. Taking our yesterday and making way for a fresh tomorrow. Leaving the past can be difficult trusting God is making a new way, helps me. Give all things to God and walk forward with anxious anticipation for what's next. I hope you like this today too. Be fit and be blessed in all you think say and do!! ππΈππ¦ ❤️

Jeremiah 17:7-8 my favorite help me verses
Jeremiah 17:7-8 " But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, who's confidence is in Him. 8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; it's leaves are always green. It has no worries in the year of draught and never fails to bear fruit." Trust God in all things..... be the tree, have our leaves remain green and continue to produce fruit in the draught. We all have seasons of draught. Proverb 23:7 “ as a man thinkers in his heart so shall he be.” Every moment of everyday I am given a choice: 1. See what’s wrong and Complain 2. See what’s right and be thankful and give thanks. When I do the later my attitude is altitude. My chin stays up! I can “keep on keeping on”, in His direction with His lamp to my feet and His strength in my heart. Today if you’d are tempted to worry or fear about anything, remember to be like the tree..... have strong roots in Trusting God simply thank Him that He will work it all out. TRUST. Thank Him for what’s right and Trust Him in what seems wrong. ππΈππ¦ ❤️

Only what’s done for Christ will last
2 Corinthians 7:10 " Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." This verse really struck me today. When I have truly changed my ways it's because of Godly sorrow. In my heart of hearts I wanted to leave the old ways behind and walk in a new life. This sincere distaste for my old behaviors and my sincere embrace of my new way of life helps me “keep on keeping on” with Gods word as a lamp to my feet. Before I would be sad I got caught or had to pay consequences, that is worldly sorrow. That never produced a true life change for me. Today, I hope this helps you look at your motivation to live a better life; is it for the world or for God? In my opinion, only what's done for Christ will last. Be blessed today and always ππΈππ¦ ❤️

Something out of nothing
The feeding of the Five Thousand. John 6:10 " Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." There was plenty of grass in that place, and the men sat dow , about five thousand of them. 11Jesus then took the loaves and gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.” I always love thinking about the feeding of the five thousand, it’s such a great illustration, how Jesus takes nothing( A boys lunch) and makes it something (enough to feed the multitude). That’s what He did for me. I really felt like nothing, all I could see was what was wrong with me, then I truly decided to believe with my whole heart Jesus died on the cross to forgive me my sins and in exchange gives me His righteousness/goodness and eternal life in Heaven. With this simple profound faith, when I am tempted to see my lack , I sit down, give thanks and look to Him so I can see His fullness in me. Each of us that trust Jesus as Savior need not fear, or live in thinking we are not enough. We are plenty in Jesus Christ! He gives us everything we need to do His work!! May you be inspired to live in His fullness today and always ππΈππ¦ ❤️

Keep in the “New”
2 Corinthians 5:17 " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone the new has come!" Be encouraged to walk in the light of Jesus today and always. If you are tempted to feel discouraged " shake it off". Forward in Christ!! Walk in His love and light. Mathew 28:20 " Lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age". ππΈππ¦ ❤️

Keep on keeping on!!
Psalm 119:92 "If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction." Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet a light to my path". I love reading Psalm 119. It's long, and keeps pointing the reader to love, living Gods way. For me when I actively started turning from my old ways and trying my best to walk in love and obedience to Gods ways, my life got infinitely better. I used to be plagued with bitterness when someone would offend me, or anxiety when I did something the world said was ok, I knew was not the Bible ways. Now, I truly embrace simply being the love of Jesus, trying my best to be a good steward of my life. I know full well, that I will fail. Living a Godly life doesn't happen istaniously and certainly doesn't happen perfectly. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. For me, when I keep turning from my sinful ways and keep turning to Gods word, it helps me live my fullest life in my here and know. It's not a perfect path. It took me 29 years of trying before I could quit drinking for more then 99 days in a row. Praise God with His help, I'm clean now. Hopefully will stay that way. When I concentrate on the love and forgiveness of Jesus and read the Bible regularly it gives me strength and song so I don't have to perish in my affliction. We all have issues that can take our attention away from God. Today I pray you may identify the things, in your life that are hindering you, leave them in your past and press forward in Christ Jesus!! ππΈππ¦ ❤️ Onward Christian soldier!!

Perfect love casts out fear
Romans 8:15 " For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry Abba Father." No longer a slave to fear... I am a child of God!! It's a great song. It's a great way to think. Fear can creep in on many levels, and fear can be paralyzing. it helps me to remember, perfect love casts out fear. Our Fathers love for us is perfect! His love for us is Eternal!! Today is you are tempted to fear the worse..... trust Gods perfect love and cast out the fear!!!ππΈππ¦ ❤️

Seek His word above silver and gold
Psalm 119:72 "The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold. 73 Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands." Seek His word like silverπ. Certainly having enough money to pay the bills is important. Seeking riches above seeking God, can make me think I'm the one providing. When I look first to God, remembering everything is His, and I am only His steward, it helps me keep my greed in check. It also helps me when I am running short to not panic but trust God will always help me find a way. Today my plan is to be a good steward of Everything God has given me my time, money and talents. I will try to put His word above silver and gold and above panic of lack there of. π. I hope you like this idea today too and it helps you keep Jesus first!ππΈππ¦ ❤️

Take Heart! Fear Not!
Psalm 31:24 " Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord." Take heart! Fear Not!! When I look to Jesus, in any of the trials I face and see Him with me in the middle of my muck, it helps me to Take Heart and Fear Not! Years ago I prayed, Lord even if my son is lying dead in a field somewhere I TRUST you are with him. I envisioned Jesus being with my son in the worse case scenario and I was able to take heart. Trusting God in all things is the only way I know to Fear Not!! I hope this verse gives you courage today tooππΈπ♥️π¦

Happy Easter! Just Believe!!
Ephesians 1:17-20 "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ , the Glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. 18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart maybe enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and His incomparable great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength , 20 which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the Heavenly Realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion and every title that can be given not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” All we have to do is BELIEVE!! Jesus said on the cross, "it is finished". But that was not the end it was the beginning. I'm so thankful today that Jesus died on the cross for us, to pay the penalty of our sins, He conquered death, rose again and gives us His right standing with God now and forever more!! Thanks be to God!! Happy Easter!!ππΈπ♥️π¦

Wisdom
Wisdomπ Proverbs 9:9 " Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning." This verse helps me listen to the advise of the ones who love me. Without taking offense. Truly loving others sometimes is having tuff conversations. I'm so thankful for the people who love me enough to tell it to me straight with love and kindness. This weekend, many of us will be spending time with others. many times we can get offended by what people say or how they behave. Let this verse encourage you to use all your relationships to help you become wiser. π. Happy Easter Weekend!! Whatever you think say and do ... do it for the Lord in Love....COL 3:23 also see COL 3:13

Maundy Thursday strength in Weakness!
2 Corinthians 12:9 “ But He said to me, “ My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest in me. 10 That is why for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecution, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Wow!!! So powerful this Maundy Thursday. Today may you find your strength in Jesus. We all have a thorn in our flesh. We all suffer with something. Paul said His sufferings were to keep him humble, so he drew his strength from Jesus. I find it so very true that when I am weak and I look to Jesus and TRUST. I can find strength in my storm, “My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness.” Those are the Words of our Lord Jesus! Be encouraged to be strong in Him today!! Happy Holy Week!ππΈππ¦ ♥️
