Our spouse is our team mate notbour enemy

 Genesis 1:18 “The Lord God said,”It is not good for the man to be alone.  I will make a helper suitable for him.”  …24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”   God makes a husband and wife to be on the same team!!! One flesh!! Husband’s are to cherish their wives and wives are to respect their husbands (Ephesians 5)    I am thinking of the Muslim culture….as I understand it, they are allowed to beat their wives treating them more as property than as a gift from God. If you are beating up or hurting your spouse in any way, you are hurting half of yourself.  If you are blessed with a spouse, he or she is your #1 team mate next to Jesus.   Often when people are stressed they take it out on the ones they trust the most, they hurt their teammate.  Remember if you are tempted to hurt your beloved in anyway, you are actually hurting yourself.  Be encouraged today to treat your spouse as your number one team mate next to Jesus.  Help each other, no matter how you “ feel”.  Choose love!!😇    The destruction of our country is largely because of the destruction of our families.   Do what you can today in your own family to love each other through the powerful gift of Jesus.  Choose love!  Choose to be on the same team!!

Be still, Trust God

 Psalm 46:10 “ Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”    Be still and know that He is God!!!  TRUST Him today in all things!!! His way , His timing, His best plan for you and the ones you love!!

Prosperity can be prideful

 Daniel 11:28 “The king of the North will return to his own country with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant.”   I have been guilty of forgetting, all my prosperities come from the Lord.   When I forget it is He that gave me the talents and circumstances I become full of pride.  There is nothing pleasant about being around a prideful person. Today, if God has blessed you beyond all measure; instead of saying, “look at me” say “ Look at all God has blessed me with, how can I be the best steward of it all?”  Prosperity is so much more than finances.  Be inspired to be thankful for everything He has provided you and the things in His infinite wisdom has not. 😇🙏❤️

His Peace or our anxiety

 John 14:25 “All this I have spoken while with you.  26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”   We have the Holy Spirit living in us guiding us moment by moment.   We can listen and walk in His Peace or we can harden our hearts and walk in our anxieties.   Which will you do today?

Team work!!

 Psalm 121:1. “ I lift my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?  2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3He will not let your foot slip-He who watches over you will not slumber.”   Have you ever been on a team?   Together the team purpose is to work toward the common goal using everyone’s unique talents for the team goal.  Having a good teammate is fantastic!!!  Marriage is this a true “team”.  Many of us are single, yet we are never “team-less”.    The Lord is with us always He is always on our team!!! May we each TRUST in our ever present, omnipotent Team mate today and always!!!😇🙏❤️

Worldly or Wordly

 Joel 2:12 “Even now”, declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.”   13.Rend  your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.”   Repent and return!!! Have you been seeking your will and not God’s?   Seeking worldly pleasures over WORDLY is so easy for me to do.      What are your goals for today?  Do they line up with the Word of God?   Be inspired to seek Him first!!

Keep your head up in the storm

 Psalm 103:1-5 “Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name.  2. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits-3who forgives all your sins and heal all your diseases, 4who redeems your life from the pit and  crowns you with love and compassion, 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”    One of my dearest friends suggested her Bible study group memorize these verses.     When we focus on how good God is, we can keep our heads up in any strom!  

Perfect love casts out fear

 Christ assurance verses Self assurance.  Christ confidence verses self confidence!   1John 4:4 “You dear children, are from God, and have overcome them, because the one who is in you, is greater than the one who is in the world.”  18 “There is no fear in Love.  But prefect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.  The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 19 “We love because He first loved us.”   Today, dont trust in your abilities to get things done, trust that Christ through, you will take care of everything.   If He has given you much ability and drive fantastic!! Use it for His glory, remembering He is the one giving it to you moment by moment.   Perfect love casts out fear.  He perfectly loves each of us….fear not!! Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!!

The sovereign God of the universe perfectly loves you!! He didn’t get you this far to drop you now!  TRUST in His Love for you today!!

Clinging to a worthless idol?

 Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.”  What worthless idols are you clinging to?   Sometimes I cling to the security of the gifts and talents God has given me verses clinging to God.   At any moment everything can be taken away.  The only one that will remain is the Lord.  Cling to Him!! He is our TRUE HOPE!!  Matthew 28:20 “Lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age.”

When I trust my  “right” works will produce “right” things;  then I am trusting in me.   Bad things happen even when we do everything right.  When I trust in God, knowing He will make even the bad things right,  my anxiety lowers and I can breathe.   Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”  Are you trusting in God or a worthless idol? TRUST GOD.  Find true peace.

Turn away and stay turned

 Jonah 3:9 “Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from His fierce anger so that we will not perish.  10When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, He had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction He has threatened.”  Have you ever turned from your evil ways to avoid the consequences? Then go back to those same old, same old ways.?  Be inspired to keep turning from the old, pressing forward to the High calling of God no matter what you are facing!   😇🙏❤️

If it’s causing anxiety reevaluate!

 Psalm 139:23 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  24 See if there is any offense way in me, and lead me in the way of everlasting.”  

Do you have anxious thoughts?   Pay attention to those!! If your reaction to something is anxiety, evaluate whether that person, project or  event should be in your life. God gives us an unsettled Spirit to recognize things that are not of Him.    Lord, see if there is any offense way in us and lead us to the way of everlasting.   😇🙏❤️

He has plans for you!! TRUST

 Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”    Are your plans failing?   God’s are not!!   Some of our toughest times produce the greatest harvest.   Be still and know that He is God and He has plans for you!! Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future .   TRUST His plans today!!!😇❤️🙏

Dont ho astray, plan good

 Proverbs 14:22 “Do not those who plot evil go astray?  But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.” When I was an addict I would plot how to get my alcohol and how to keep my addiction a secret.   It was an all consuming frame of thinking.     It was an evil desire that made me go astray.   I hated it but couldn’t let it go for years.   Today I recognize how it poisoned my life and hurt my children. Today, I try my best to plan what is good even when it’s hard.  My life is infinitely better when I first seek the Lord and His righteousness.   It is truly filled with Love and Faithfulness not because of me but because of Him.    Today, be inspired to recognize if you are plotting for your evil desires and turn and plan what is good!  😇🙏❤️

His works are wonderful.. know this full well

 Psalm 139:13 “ For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful I know full well.”  

Each of us are fearfully and wonderfully made!    His works are wonderful!!! Each of us are wonderful!!! Oh yes we do stupid sinful things.  Our identity is not what we do, or what people say or think about us.  Our identity is who we are in Jesus Christ.    Forgiven, restored, set apart, able to shine.  We are fearfully and wonderfully made!! His works are wonderful!!! Know this full well!!  

If you are tempted to take on self doubt, low self esteem or self condemnation.   STOP that is not true!  God word is TRUE.   You are wonderful through the powerful gift of Jesus.   Know this full well!!  

Runnig away from God?

 Jonah 1:3 “But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed to Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port.  After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.”   Have you ever ran from the Lord?   I do it all the time.  I know the good God is telling me to do, but let sloth take over.  Or I may go down the wrong path….justifying in my mind, what I am doing is “fine”.   When I am deliberately or lazily, going in the wrong direction, with an unrepentant heart, I better watch out;  because the big fish is coming!!   God love each of us too much to let us run away.   Be inspired to run to Him today!!

Love even if you dont feel like it

 John 15:12 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”  Do you love as Jesus loves?   Think of how you think about each other.   Is it loving?  Or do you harbor anger and resentment if things aren’t the way you think they should be?  Today, be inspired to love each other with a pure heart.  Not because people are who you want them to be.  Love because Jesus commands us to do so.   You can love a person and not love their actions.  Usually people with bad behavior are the people that need love the most.

But his word be a rock

 Matthew 7:24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”  When I first quit drinking and turned my life back over to the Lord, I had been in worldly behaviors for so long I had no idea how to do life  God’s way.   I made a commitment to start reading the Bible daily and thinking about how it applied to my life and tried to put it into practice.    This is not a one and done this is a daily commitment to keep trying to apply God’s word to the life I live.   When I do, I walk in His peace.   When I don’t, I walk in my anxiety.    May God’s word be a lamp to your feet today too.😇❤️🙏

Survive it in hope

 Have you ever had a pain, that just won’t leave?   Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.  8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of draught and never fails to bear fruit.”  …..17:14. “ Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are The One I praise.”       These verses help me in deep pain.  Many things in life, I cant understand and can’t control.   When I TRUST God in it all, I  survive in hope.   

The Lord never forgets us

 Isaiah 49:15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?  Though she may forget, I will not forget you!  16 See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” 

Our Lord never forgets us!!  God knows each and every one of us. There are about 8.3 billion people on this earth and God knows each of us intimately!!   This is mind blowing!!! I can’t even  in billions.  As parents when our children are hurting we are hurting.   Know today, God loves your child even more than you do!!  He will not forget them.  They are engraved on the palms of His hands and so are you!!!  Live in His perfect peace today trusting this is true.”

Don’t wear yourself out for riches

 Proverbs 23:4 “Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have wisdom and show restraint.  5 Cast a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.”🦅.   What do you wear yourself out for?   “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33).    I have chased many things that are not God’s will for me.     When I do and get those things, it often leaves me emptier than before.    Only God can truly fill us to the full.  Let’s be drinking His living water today and always!! Let Jesus fill the emptiness within, and you will never thirst again even in a draught.

Leave the old pursue the new

 Ephesians 4:22 “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted  by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”  Put off the old and put on the new!!! If I want to change my old ways I have to replace those ways with something better.   We all have 24 hours in a day.  If we stop a bad behavior that has consumed us we have to fill that time with a new edifying behavior or the  void we leave will be filled with an all consuming desire for the bad thing  that is destroying us.    Today, to be healthy and well.  Replace the old with the new and stay with the new!!

Call upon His name and upu will be saved

 Romans 10:13 “ for, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  Call on His name!    My simple one word prayer is, “Jesus”.     I call on His name and rest there.  It helps me.   I know it will help you too.😇🙏❤️

True intimacy

 Ephesians 5:33 “However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”  Men adoring thier wives and wives respecting thier husbands is the great aphrodisiac.   Some people, loose intimacy as their marriage goes on.   Intimacy is a HUGE part of marriage!   As we age  or just get over busy with things like screen time. We can loose our connection with each other.   The people we love the most, we stop nurturing.  If you are blessed and have a spouse, never forget, the two of you are one flesh.      Would you intentionally injure yourself?    Yet, many times we intentionally pick at, the ones we love.  Stop!   You are one flesh!! A three fold cord, husband, wife and Jesus.     This is your unshakable inner core.   Not even your children or grandchildren should be in that circle.  Husbands, cherish your wives.   Wives respect your husbands.   This is possible if Jesus is your foundation.   😇🙏❤️.  He is the motivation that keeps our intimacy alive!!   

True beauty

 1Peter3:3 “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.  4 Instead, it should be of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great work in God’s sight.”

True beauty lies within.   Both in women and men.   Increase your attractiveness by increasing the unfading beauty of a gentle and  quiet spirit.  This is made possible by the powerful gift of Jesus!

Men this is not only for women.  

Build intimacy , through Jesus Christ

Let the Lord fight for you

 2Chronicles 20:15 “He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem!  This is what the Lord says to you: “Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the  battle is not yours, but God’s.“

The battle is not yours but God’s!!  Wow!!   What a cool perspective!!  Truly, for me to quit drinking and maintain sobriety I need the Lord first.   I know that if I ever pick up again, booze becomes my God and I loose everything.  That may sound extreme to you who are not alcoholic but it’s all too real for those of us that are!! The Lord does and will fight for you!   When I am fighting any battle it helps me when I remeber I am not fighting alone.   The Lord is fighting for me.   I hope this helps you today too.   Be strong in the battle.

Be anxious for nothing TRUST in everything.

 Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”  Do not be anxious about anything!!! Give it all to God!! Let trusting Him, in it all, rule your heart.   Be at peace in all things.   He is worthy of it all!!! He is with us every moment of our lives.  Today, don’t play the “what if” game in your head.   Simply, see Jesus in it all and TRUST.  His way will play out.  His way will be best!!  TRUST!! 😇🙏❤️

Get our hearts right!

Romans 14:17 “ For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating or drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”    Are you careful with what you eat and drink so you honor God but lash out at people when you get stressed?   So what if you are good at obeying tge rules is you have strife in your heart.      Let’s make sure our hearts are full of righteousness, peace and joy first and our actions will follow!!

Dont let your behaviors destroy your brother

 Romans 14:19-21. 19”Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20 All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.  21. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.”  When I quit drinking I needed to be around friends and family that were, “like minded”.   It helped me with temptation and it showed me how to live alcohol free.   Same goes with over eating and under moving.   To be healthy and well edify each other in God honoring ways.  Don’t eat or drink anything that will make your brother stumble.  Today, pay attention to who is influencing you.  Be the good influence, the one who mutually edifies.  😇❤️🙏

Speak Life

 Proverbs 20:15 “Gold there is, and rubies in abundance, but the lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.”   Speak knowledge!! Speak life!!  Do you have Bible verses memorized so you can quote them when appropriate?   Many times people are looking for truth.  Often, we speak our opinions in response,  verses speaking the knowledge of God.    Will your words be more valuable than gold or rubies today?   Be encouraged to encourage others with the word of God.   Today and always.  😇❤️🙏.  Start with some simple verses like Philippians 4:13. “ I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”  You will be amazed at how often you will be able to help others by speaking His knowledge.

Perseverance

 James 5:11 “As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance, and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.”   Perseverance is what we have through the powerful gift of Jesus!!  Fight the good fight, remembering to do everything unto the Lord.   If you are facing medical issues, trust God, relationship issues, trust God, financial issues, trust God!!   Persevere through your trials  knowing God’s got this!!! 

Submission?

 Romans 13:5 “Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment, but also because of conscience.”  Submit to authorities!   This is easier said than done.   Submission not only in deed but in heart.    Does this describe your heart today?

Value your marriage

 Proverbs 12:4 “A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.”   Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord. Proverbs 31:10. “ A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.”   Ephesians 5:33 “However, each one of you must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”    

I met someone the other day who after many years of marriage is discarding his wife because he met someone that makes him feel young again makes him feel like there’s passion in his life.     Be inspired to hold tight to the wife of your youth.   Marriage is often not a bed of passion, it is however a gift from God that is to be treasured.  If you know someone like this or are someone like this be encouraged to value your marriage.  Marriages can be saved by the powerful gift of Jesus!!

Give honor and respect even if you dont “Feel” like it

 Romans 13:7 “ Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes if revenue then revenue; if respect then respect, if honor then honor.”

Romans 13:14 “Rather cloth yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think how to gratify the desires of your sinful nature.”

In the natural, we may not “ feel” like giving honor and respect to various individuals especially when we disagree with them.     Yet, we are not called to conduct ourselves by our feelings, we are called to clothe ourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ.    What does that mean to you today?

Do it for the Lord!!

 Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it  all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him”.  Do it  for the Lord!!  It is easy to lack enthusiasm for the tasks we have at hand.    What ever you do today, renew your passion, do it for the Lord!!!

Teo places at once?

 Proverbs 11:3 “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”   Duplicity, is something I have suffered with lately.     I have wanted to be in two places at once.  Therefore, I have put half of me, in both places.   It has not gone well.    The upright chose the right path and walk in it.  They do not play both sides of the fence.   Today, I plan to chose the path of God’s will and stay firmly planted in it.   Trying to be two places at once, trying to be everything to everyone is walking in duplicity.     May each of us be strong in the Lord today, with single mindedness.   😇❤️🙏

Live in abundance

 John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Have life and have it  to the full!!!    It’s not what you have, it’s what you do with it.     Most days, do not go according to my plans.  All days go according to God’s plan.   When I rest assured all things are working for my good and God’s glory I can simply rest in my present moment and enjoy what is, instead of worrying about what isn’t.   This is me living my life to the full with Jesus.   Living in His presence,  no matter what,  gives me a zest for life.   Go live in His abundance today!!   😇❤️🙏

Are you living with zeal?

 Romans 12:11 “Never lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.  12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 share with God‘s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”  are you living life with zeal?   Do you emulate what a joyful life looks like?   Would  people want what you have?   Be filled with His Holy Spirit today and Shine!!!   Be everything God created you to be with “ZEAL”!!

Where you Lead Lord, help me follow

 Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.”   Where is your confidence?    If God means it to be it will be!! If it is not, it won’t.  Why do we think we know more than God? We are full of pride.     Be inspired to TRUST Jesus lead today.   Where you lead Lord, I will follow.  😇❤️🙏Where you lead Lord, I will go.

Walk humbly, wait in hope

 Micah 6:8 “He showed you, O man, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” …..7:7 “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”  Walking humbly, waiting on God in hope, knowing He hears our every prayer and is answering each one, in His perfect wisdom.   Is the basis of TRUE health and wellness.   May you TRUST Him today in whatever you want now!

Temple or a trash can

 Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship.”

What does it mean to offer your body as a living sacrifice?  I think of the phrase “treat your body like a temple not a trashcan” . Keep your body free of sexual immorality, of drugs or too  much alcohol. Get good quality sleep, eat foods that are healthy. Don’t engage in heavy stress. Are you doing these things? Are you treating your body like a temple or a trashcan?  Be inspired to honor God with your physical body today!😇🙏❤️

Independent because we are dependent!!

 Jame 3:12 “Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13because judgement without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”   The law that gives freedom?   When I walk in God’s ways and in His mercy I am free!!!  When my hearts’ desire and my actions are on doing His will, I am not plagued by the guilt and shame of my sinfulness.  Even when I fall, I am still free. My identity is in who I am in Jesus not who I am in my sin.   This identity gives me true freedom to keep walking in all He has created me to be.    We have a great nation because we have a great God.    We have a great nation because we have great citizens that honor Him.  “He who the son sets free is free indeed!”  (John 8:36). Live in His freedom today and always!!  May God continue to to bless the USA!🇺🇸  We are an independent republic when we are dependent on God!!

Work versus Grace

 Romans 11:6 “And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”   Grace verses works make me think of, “We love Him, because He first loved us.”   When someone loves you and is good to you, you naturally want to be good to that person.  It is so wonderful to be on the receiving end of unconditional love.  You dont earn it ….  You receive it.   When I receive such a beautiful gift, it’s my heart’s desire to respond in kind.     This is my beat way to think of good works for God.   Not out of trying to earn His love, but because we are overflowing with gratitude and want to give back our best!    I hope you like ny perspective today and it motivates you to simply Love God back with an abundance of joy.   😇❤️🙏

Be brave and do it now!

 Proverbs 20:4 “A sluggard does not plow in season; so at harvest time he looks and finds nothing.”  Do what’s right at the right time!   When we act like a sluggard we don’t reap the rewards of work.   Do what is right at the right time!!  It is so easy to procrastinate.   It is so easy to say, “I will address that later; I don’t want to deal with that now.” 

What we put off today, often does bites us in the butt tomorrow.   Be strong and courageous!! Attack what you need to do no matter how difficult.   We are not to be afraid.   When we walk in fear we can be a sluggard.   What ever God is telling you to do, be brave and do it!

Cursed or Blessed?

 Jeremiah 17:5 “This is what the Lord says:  “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord……..7 But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.” 

I wake up in the morning and read my Bible. I tell God I’m gonna trust Him today. Then I get up from my reading and I walk in anxiety about this or that. When I am anxious about things, I am not trusting God in all things.   Are you trusting in man or God today?

It all comes from God

Deuteronomy 8: 17 “ You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.”  18But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your forefathers, as it is today.”

Do you ever think it is you that makes things happen?    Think again!    God gives us each the desires of our hearts and the abilities to do what we do.   Never forget to give credit to Him.  He is our source in all things!!

Me, me, me vs. You, You, You!

 Hebrews 13:21 “equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever Amen.”     We are equipped for everything good for doing His will!!   Try this; say me, me, me. Then say you, you, you.    Can you feel the peace that the later brings?    My prayer is to be pleasing to God not pleasing to me.   I pray, “ Lord, let my day honor YOU.”  The Lord equips each of us with everything good for doing His will.  Try you, you, you as your mantra today!

Go from the worthless to the worth

 Psalm 119:36 “Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. 37 Turn my eyes from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.” 

The word of God versus selfish gain and worthless things.  Are we truly seeking  what God wants for our lives? Are we being patient and trusting in His timing?  Or are we manipulating to make our plans succeed.   Let’s turn from the worthless to worth full!!!    

Be careful who you chose

 Proverbs 22:24 “Do not make friends with a hot tempered man do not associate with one easily angered, 25 or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.”    Be careful wiith who you let in your inner circle.     You may think your kindness will tub off on them but often their anger will rub off on you.  

Take care of your family, thanks a Dad that does

 1 Timothy 5:4 “But if widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents for this is pleasing to God.”   Take care of your family!!   A father that takes care of his own  family is held in high regard. He is selfless and exhibits sacrificial sharing.   He provides in many ways not only the physical needs of his family but leads spiritually, emotionally and intellectually.   He disciplines with a loving heart, his family is richer for it.   If we all just took care of our own families think of how much better off our world would be. Often we can say they don’t deserve it! We also don’t deserve the love of Jesus but thank God He choses to love us anyways.  Let God’s love for us, inspire us to love those in our own families with this Christ type of guidance.   Thank a dad displaying this type of love today and encourage one that is not to do so.   Let’s go make the world a better place by taking care of our own families.

Confess and believe. Yes its that simple

 Romans 10:9-11.  “ That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.   11. As the scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.” 

Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart Jesus is Lord, you will be justified, saved and not be put to shame.    Can it be this simple?   Yes it can!!! Stop beating yourself up and simply believe!!!
