Healthy and Well (soul 3)
Love Others! When you
give love it comes back to you. Love with pure motives; expect nothing in
return. When we love with a pure heart
it fills our tanks. If we keep score (do to get), we are not based in love.
Last week the focus was on filling ourselves with God’s
love. We need to read His word, trust
Him, pray and spend time in His presence daily.
This is how we “Seek first the kingdom
of God.” (Mathew 6:33) He alone is able to fill our tanks.
With a full tank we have what it takes to spread God’s love.
Jesus was asked, “What is the greatest of the commandments?” He replied, “To
love your God, with all your heart, mind and soul and to love your neighbor as
I have loved you.”(I don’t remember exactly where this quote
came from could someone help me out here?)
This week let’s be His love in our relationships. When you feel yourself giving more then you
can, step back…fill your self; use prayer and the word of God and go love
again.
Even Jesus needed to take time away to pray and be filled
before he could continue on.
John 13:34 “A
new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you,
that you also love one another.”
Mark 1:35 “Now
in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and
departed to a solitary place; and there he prayed.”
Be fit and be blessed,
Kimberly
I like this Fit Bit. Recently I broke my wrist and I have been feeling that my husband has been less than helpful. That is kind of ridiculous thinking because he already does so much and now I am "expecting" him to take on even more! In his attempts to be funny, his comments have been a little mean but then again I may be a little more sensitive and grouchy because of the inconvenience of the wrist, clumsy cast, etc.
