Fit Bit (fresh start)

Fit Bit (fresh start)
Question:  I have been part of a small group, we try to encourage each other to eat right, exercise and most importantly put God first in our lives.  We check in once a week.  I am doing better then I was before the group.  The other members are seemingly doing better at weight control then I am.  I feel like getting out of the group.  Every time they have success I feel like a bigger failure. What do I do?

ANNswer:  We cannot compare ourselves to others.  Each of us even in the same household has a different situation.  We can only be the best we can be each day through the help of God.  I hear you say” You are doing better then before.”  This is wonderful!!  Not often do people have a complete restoration overnight.  It is a process.  Usually it’s a slow, painful process of dying to self and picking p the cross.
The measurement of personal success is not outward but inward.  When we seek first God, our inward peace becomes evident.  Weight management and fitness level are important; our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Cor.6: 19)  Yet, without the peace of God…Who cares how we look on the outside?

Have you ever met someone and first thought they were gorgeous and then got to know him or her and found that person unattractive?  Or the flip side, met someone thought they were unattractive and then fell in love with them, realizing how beautiful they really are?

Your success, beauty is between you and God.  Today, start fresh, try your best, accept the forgiveness Jesus died to give you and keep on keeping on.  Read, the Bible, pray, eat fruit, veggies and lean proteins, drink water and get a little exercise.  Be the loving child He created you to be.  Everything else will fall into place.

Revelations 22:7  “Behold, I come quickly blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophesy of this book.”
1 Timothy 4:8  “For bodily exercise profits the body a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
