Fit Bit (It’s Monday again)
Question: It’s Monday
again. Each week I try to get motivated
yet, the give up attitude always creeps in and wins. How can I actually stay motivated to do what
it takes for me to lose this weight?
ANNswer: You have to
truly want a different life then you have right now. You have to be sick and tired of carrying
around the extra pounds. None of us are
able to change by wishing things were different we have to take action! Action starts with a game plan, then follow
through. To lose weight you must consume fewer calories then you burn. The simple solution is to eat less and move
more. I know that sounds simple, but if
it were so simple no one would have a weight problem. As Americans we are bombarded with fast food
and inactivity. Take actions by planning
out a fresh fruit, vegetable and lean protein diet. Include drinking water as your main
beverage. The simplest way to move more
is to were a pedometer and walk at least 10, 000 steps a day. Not everyone can walk. 10,000 steps a day is roughly equivalent to
one hour of intentional movement a day.
Swim, bike, chair aerobics, are all good exercise ideas if you cannot
walk. We are all at different fitness
levels. Start with what you can do
comfortably and work up. Remember you
can do this!!! First you have to want to.
Secondly, you have to do it!!! Remember your body is His temple. Be diligent in taking care of your temple. It is your reasonable service to God.
Romans 12:11-12
“Not slothful in business; fervent inspirit; serving the Lord;
12. Rejoicing
in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.”
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “ What? Know ye not that your body is the
temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not
your own?”
20. For ye are
bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit,
which are God’s.”
Keep on keeping on!
Eventually it will stick. Never
weary in well doing!
Be fit and be blessed,
Kimberly
