Fit Bit and need your help

Good Morning Friends,

I could use your help;  Does anyone have a favorite Fit Bit?  I have an opportunity to show case my Fit Bits, and I would really appreciate your feedback..  Thanks so much for you help!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly Mathews

below is today' Fit Bit

Fit Bit (Nip it in the bud!)

When we think on things that are harmful, such as longing for a piece of chocolate cake when we have 20 pounds to loose it only leads to failure.  The key to success is to nip a toxic thought in the bud immediately!  According to Behavioral Science if a person thinks something three times they develop a craving.  A fourth thought and they have an action.  We each have the ability to change our minds.  I find it easier to change my mind when I call on Jesus to help.

Romans 10:14  “Call on the name of the LORD and you will be saved.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Old Testament Reading;

Balaam’s Donkey

Balaam’s donkey saw the Angel in the road three times before Balaam realized what was going on.  The Angel of the Lord was in the road to stop Balaam and give him a message from God.  Finally the fourth time, Balaam realized his sin.

32”The angel of the Lord asked him, “Why have you beaten your donkey these three times?  I have come here to oppose you because the path is a reckless one before me.  33The donkey saw me and turned away.  I would certainly have killed you by now, but I would have spared her.””

Kimberly’s thoughts; According to Behavioral Science, when a person thinks of something three times they have a genuine feeling. (In Balaam’s case he wanted to kill the donkey.)  By the fourth thought, we have an action.  That is why it is so very important to take control of our negative thoughts.  This story reminds me of how often God is trying to get through to me and how often I am not paying attention.

New Testament Reading;
Luke 6:37-7:10

Judging Others
6:37  “Do not judge, and you will not be judged.  Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.  Forgive, and you will be forgiven.  38Give, and it will be given to you.”

Psalms 37:32-40
37:34 “Wait of the Lord and keep His way.  He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off you will see it.”

Bible Study March 26

March 26, 2014
Old Testament reading; Numbers 21; 4-22:20
The Bronze Snake
Numbers 4:8  “The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.”

Kimberly’s Thoughts; Here the people were grumbling and complaining again, even though God had proven over and over again, He was with them.  Once again, God gave a refuge to His people, even though they did not deserve it.  God is truly our loving Heavenly Father.

New Testament reading; Luke 6:12-36
Love your Enemies
“27But I tell you who hear me; Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you.  29If someone strikes you on one cheek turn to him the other also.  If someone takes you cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic.  30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.  31Do to others as you would have them do to you.
     32If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?”

Kimberly’s thoughts; for me to be able to love those who hurt me, I need to start by praying for them.  I cannot forgive and love with a pure heart unless I call on Jesus.

Psalms 37:21-31
30”The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom.”

Bible Study March 21

March 21
Old Testament Reading; Numbers 11:4-13:25
Quail from the Lord

The people complained about the Manna.  They said they longed for the meat and fish they had back in Egypt.  The Lord said He would give them meat until it came out their nostrils.  He supplied flocks and flocks of quail, three feet deep and as far as one could walk in a days travel.  The people, whom were ungrateful for the manna and ate the quail, angered the Lord.  He had a great plague come over those who ate the quail.

Kimberly’s thoughts; this story makes me realize the importance of being thankful of what I have.

New Testament Reading; Luke 3:23-4:13
The temptation of Jesus

4:1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordon and was led by the Spirit in the dessert, 2where for forty days He was tempted by the devil.  He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
3The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”
4Jesus answered, “It is written; Man does not live on bread alone.”

Kimberly’s thoughts; Truly when I fill myself with the word of God, I am full from within and I do not over eat as much.

Proverbs 7:21-27
“With persuasive word she led him astray; she seduced him with her smooth talk.

Bible Study March 20

March 20

Old Testament Reading; Numbers 9:15-11:3
Fire from the Lord;
11:1-3  “Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord, and when He heard them His anger aroused, Then fire from the Lord burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.  2When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed to the Lord and the fire died down.  3So that place was called Taberah, because fire from the Lord had burned among them.”
Kimberly’s thoughts’; it is so easy to see what is wrong and complain verses concentrating on what is right and be thankful.

New Testament Reading; Luke 3:1-22
John the Baptist prepares the way for Jesus/ Jesus was baptized too;
3;21”When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too.  And as He was praying, Heaven was opened 22and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form like a dove, And a voice came from Heaven:
 “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.””
Kimberly’s thoughts; I am so very thankful for baptism.  I am thankful I can be repentant and forgiven.  Without the Holy Spirit, I would be lost.

Psalm 35:19-28

19:28”My tongue will speak of your righteousness and of your praises all day long.”

Fit Bit (Happy St. Pat’s)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!!

What a wonderful what to explain the Trinity, using a Three Leaf Clover!  That is why we celebrate St. Pat’s; St. Patrick went around Ireland teaching the Good News using a three-leaf clover!!!

Our God is an Awesome God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit!!!

John 14:26  “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

Today, as you are celebrating the Trinity, remember your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit!!!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20  “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.  20 You were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your body.”

I hope you enjoy some corn beef and cabbage today and more importantly, I hope you remember the trinity!!!

Be fit and be blessed,
