Old Testament Reading; Leviticus
21:1-22:33
31”Keep my commands and
follow them, I am the Lord. 32Do not
profane my holy name. I must be
acknowledged as holy by the Israelites.
I am the Lord, who makes you holy, 33and who brought you out of Egypt to
be your God. I am the Lord.”
New Testament Reading; Mark 15:1-32
The Crucifixion
21:31 “In the same way the chief priest and the
teachers of the law mocked him among themselves, “He saved others,” they said,
“but he can’t save himself! 32”Let this
Christ, this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and
believe.” Those crucified with Him also
heaped insults on Him.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; Jesus was in
the middle of paying the price for our sins, because He loves us so very
much. He was sacrificing for the very
people who were hurting Him. He was
about to do the greatest thing ever done in History, and He was facing incredible
ridicule and discouragement. That is the
way life can work, before we are about to do something great…we can face huge
opposition. Be strong and determined for
Christ!! He did it for you…DO it for
Him!!
Psalm 31:19-24
24”Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord.”
