Fit Bit (Slow to Wrath)
Recently I have found myself under attack. I always try to be loving, kind and fair to
people, but not everyone sees me in this light.
My natural instinct when I am attacked is to be angry. I want to stand up and defend myself and
prove that they are wrong! These
vengeance feelings are not of God. In
His word, God says, “reconcile with your advisories quickly”. Isn’t it funny that I can think of myself
as such a Godly woman and yet, I get filled with all the junk everyone else
feels too? My solution to this will be humility. I believe humility is trusting God to handle
it.
How about you? Do you
have a situation that is making you angry?
Do you feel you are being treated unfair? Do you want to be validated?
We all go through many types of conflicts. Be inspired to be slow to wrath and let God
handle it.
“Bear with
each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against
someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
James
1:12 (NIV)
“ Blessed is the one who perseveres
under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown
of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
James
1:19 (NIV)
“My dear brothers and sisters,
take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow
to become angry,”
Be fit
and be blessed,
Kimberly
