Forgiveness

 Proverbs 23:15 " My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad; my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right".  Today is my twins birthday.  They are 29 today.  I have three boys, each whom I take great delight in. As  I read Proverbs 23 today;  I’m reflecting on my motherhood.   I've fallen short many times.   The things I regret the most in life are my "bad mom" stories.  I'm so thankful my children have risen above my mistakes and become amazing men.   Proverbs15:22 "Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old."   We all make mistakes as parents.  We all make mistakes in all of  our relationships.   That's what I love about being a Christian, I accept the forgiveness Jesus died to give me and extend that forgiveness to others.   I thank God that my children have extended that forgiveness to me too😇🙏🦅❤️🌸.  I hope this little reflection helps you look at if you are walking in love and forgiveness, in your family too.  It’s truly the only path I know to peace.  😇 Forgiveness!! Thank you Jesus for true Forgiveness!!!

His Temple vs. Your trash can

 Our Bodies His temples.     1 Corinthians 6:19 " Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you,whom you have received from God? You are not your own."   This is one of the verses I used a lot in the beginning of my fitness minisrty. "Treat your body like a temple 

Not a trash can!" Was the Montra I exclaimed.   So easy to say so hard to do.   Today, I've been at the lake for one week.   During that time frame I have eaten two bags of corn chips and two half gallons of ice cream.   All total it was 8,700 calories.  Basically about 1200 calories a day of pure junk food.  I have to work out relatively hard for two hours a day to maintain my weight to eat that much crap.    Wow. My epiphany  today, is all my workouts are just so I can eat crap.  The main part of this is not weight gain it's throwing 1200 calories a day into my body that  will harm me and not help me.   There are not many good nutrients in either of these food choices.     If I truly want to feel better in my life. I need to address feeling better in my body which means, I have to look at the junk I put into it.   There is an old saying" garbage in.... garbage out".   Today I hope this helps you remeber to treat your body as His temple not your trash can!😇🙏🦅❤️💃🌸

One body?

Romans 12:5 "So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."   One body, we who are many form one body.   We are one!   When my body is injured I "Nurse" it back to health.  Do I do that when someone I know is "injured"?   Not so much.   It's a tricky thing helping hurting people because you share in their burdens with the intention of helping them back to fullness in Jesus.   Giving time, loving and caring for others takes Time.    In today's world, everyone says "they are busy".   I don't like this phrase.  To me when someone says ,"I'm busy" I feel like they are saying, " I don't have time for you".   Today I hope this simple message helps you STOP and intentionally, " Be there" for your fellow man.    We are all in this together and we are only as strong as our weakest link!!   Go Love others as Jesus loves you!  We are not too busy for the great commission!!😇🙏❤️🦅🌸

Content?

Contentment.   I think of myself as content because I'm satisfied with not being a "shopper".  Yet, this morning as I truly think about if I'm content it's on my heart,  I want things that I don't have.   I want this life to be different then it is.   I want the healing that hasn't come.   Can you relate?   It's funny, I was riding bike with a Friend of mine and he said, " seems like you're just not satisfied ".  I thought he was off his rocker! But, this morning the word contentment, is heavy on my heart.   I believe we are called to live in peace and contentment, in all things TRUSTING Jesus all the way. When I spend my moments "longing" for something I don't have, then I am not living in contentment.    For me this is profound.   I hope you like this today too.   I hope it helps you reevaluate and live in peace with what ever your circumstances are.   I hope this helps you TRUST what ever you are going through, is as it's supposed to be, for the glory of God.  Philippians 4:11” I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”

Desires of our hearts

Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."   God sees our hearts.   He knows our deepest desires and He knows how the big picture all fits together.     I like this verse and take comfort in it.  Often I have a heart desire that doesn't seem to be taking root. 

Yet, this verse helps me TRUST, With my hearts desires.   When I delight in Him, I have noticed my desires become in line with what I believe He wants for me.    It's really a beautiful thing.    Today, I pray that you can delight yourself in the Lord and TRUST Him to give you the desires of your heart😇🙏❤️🦅🌸

The waiting

I want what I want and I want it right now!  This makes me think of a two year old when I write it.    But truly I'm writing this because, that's how I often feel.   What about you?   Do you want what you want and your want it right now?   Silly isn't it?   Good things come to those who wait.  We have all heard that too. Patients, kindness and understanding is what my Dear Grandma Holt told me to pray for,   My Dear friend Judy said," never pray for patience, you'll keep getting tested".   They are both right!  Not getting what I want when I want it, has taught me to TRUST.   I'm the middle of my impulsive desires I can be pretty head strong.   I can be telling God what He should do.    As I read Isaiah 40 over again today.   It reminds me God is God, He and He alone can change hearts and move mountains.    It's my job to patiently wait upon the Lord in deep TRUST.    I hope this helps you too in your waiting today 😇.  Isaiah 40:29-31" He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the week. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;  31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.   They will soar on wings like Eagles 🦅; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."    GO SOAR in your waiting !!!😇🦅❤️🙏🌸

Living sacrifice 😇

Romans 12:1 " Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of Gods mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of service.  2 Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will."    In Corinthians, Paul says," I discipline my body so it doesn't discipline me."     I love that.   I started my fitness minisrty to help people be better stewards of their lives.   It's hard to do right when we feel bad.   If we don't take good care of our physical bodies our thinking gets off.  When out thinking gets off we don't take care of ourselves.   Be motivated today to think right, eat right and move right.    For me if I do this as my service to God I have extra determination to truly be a good steward of all He has given me.    I hope you like this today and it helps you😇🙏❤️🦅🌸

Do not give up!!

Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity , let us do good to all people especially to those who belong to the family of believers."  Do not weary in well doing!!!    I have found that one of the best things I can do for me is to help others.  If I stay in my own world and think on my own issues I can feel overwhelmed   When I actively go share the good God has given me, I feel better.  I have more joy.    Today, no matter what your trouble, be inspired to go invest in someone else share the time and talents God has given you.    I promise, it will be time well spent!!   Be fit and be blessed in all you think, say and do!!😇🙏🌸❤️🦅

Perfect peace,,,,,,TRUST

Pride, today as I'm opening my Bible the Holy Spirit once again is showing me my pride.   It's cool how God speaks, he doesn't speak in audible voices but though His word, the Bible and when I open it up and read His Spirit convicts me.   Sometimes it almost seems words are highlighted.  And of course. Sometimes I have used my highlighter to illuminate the verses that stole me the most.   I hope when you read your Bible you too use a high lighter, underline and make notes.   This practice makes it easier for me to concentrate on The meaning of what I'm reading.    I also like that this practice. Helps me actually" wear out" some Bibles.  Which I kinda think is cool.  Which of course is pride. 😇.  Today I had Isaiah 26:3 high lighted and circled " You will keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.  4 TRUST in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the ROCK eternal.    Today I will try to keep my pride in check by truly trusting in God and waiting patiently on Him and His ways😇❤️🙏🦅🌸.   I hope this helps you today too😇

Prideful humility?

Humility,  funny thing if you think you have it, you are likely prideful.   The only way I have found to keep pride in check is by remembering everything absolutely everything I have is from God.   I may have worked hard to get things but my ability to work hard,  came from God.  I have a tendency to run out ahead of God and ask Him to bless my "impulsive decisions" He often doesn't.    When I truly wait on Him and seek His direction His blessings truly flow.   Matthew 6:33-34. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”   True blessings come when God is in it !   😇🙏❤️🦅🌸

Godliness is timeless

1 Timothy 4:7-8 “ Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives tails; rather train yourself to be godly.  8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding a promise for both the present life and the life to come.”  One of my friends said, " If I'm not an athlete who am I?"   I get this.  I have been an athlete for many years.   When I was younger I took great happiness in seeing my name in the paper because of this or that athletic accomplishment.    But truly all those ribbons and trophy's just collected dust and records I once set are most likely all shattered by now.  Today's is my 59th Birthday. Not many 60 year olds are impressive athletes.   Some can be , but usually when they are " Good" ,  their accomplishments are preferences  by" She is really good for her age" 😇. Godliness is not something that gets a preferenced like that. My great grandma Holt was 99 when she passed and when she was in her 80s she helped me TRUST Jesus by holding faith important and being a beautiful Christian woman.   The people in my life that have helped me the most are the ones who help me stay focused on my faith.   It is a timeless quality.   Truly it's eternal.  Through Jesus we have life eternal.  Physical traing is of some value , but godliness has value in all things😇❤️🙏🌸🦅

Never to busy to love

Ephesians 5:1 " Be imitators of God, therefore as dearly loved children 2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."    Love others as Jesus loves us!   Wow. That's such a big request !!  Without Jesus I can not even begin to do this.   Left on my own selfishness takes over.    I am like everyone else....busy busy busy.   But when I realize, I'm not to be too busy to intentionally invest and care for others I get a bigger pay out then if I stay on my " busy" self centered plan.     For me to intentionally love and be the love of Jesus I try to remember His sacrificial love for us.   We are called to be imitators of Jesus.   Sacrificial sharing sacrificial love. This means intentionally leaving my own plans and looking for opportunities to invest in others with love.     Today I hope you take time to sacrificially 💗 love!!  😇❤️🙏🌸🦅

Mighty to save

  Our Lord is mighty to save...   He can move mountains, He conquered the grave..  I choose to think about how great God is and choose to be thankful, in His greatness He knows and loves each of us more then we can understand.   This is mind blowing! He knows every star and every hair on everyone's head.     When ever I have feelings of, "give up" or   " I just can't today,    It's too much" I go back to Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."   I choose Jesus, so I can choose strength and joy.   Proverbs 23:7 " as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."   How we choose to think is how we choose to live. Today choose faith that God is who He said He is.   Walk knowing .... He is mighty to save!  He conquered the grave!!

SOAR!!

Isaiah 40:28 " Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the Earth.  He will not grow tired or weary and His understanding no one can fathom.  29 He gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak.  30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.   They will soar on wings like Eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."                          All of Isaiah 40 is a great read, I especially like these verses.  1.   God understands.   2. He helps us not grow weary when our hope is in Him.      For my track kids we have a little team huddle and we finish with,"Christian, Eagles,  Soar!"  Today be inspired to go Soar with Jesus.  He is with you, He understands what you're going through!  Put your hope in Him and SOAR!!😇🙏🦅🌸❤️

Do all things without complaining

 Philippians 2:14 " Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you SHINE like stars  in the universe."   Things happen that I don't want.... sometimes things happen that  I just can't stand and it makes me feel like I can't breathe.   When the horrible happens it's easy for me to feel like loosing hope.    In this state of mind I tend to grumble and complain.    When I do it just adds to my hopelessness.    I can't SHINE when I'm grumbling and complaining.    All that we do is to honor God.  TRUST in the horrible and look up.  Thank Him for what is right.   Focus of what is right.    Today I'm tempted to complain that God didn't heal my dear friend here on Earth, but that will only make me bitter.  Today I will intentionally decide to thank Him for her life in the first place and thank Him, she is in eternal glory and thank Him I will see her again.     Grumbling and complaining only hardens my heart.    The last thing my beautiful Friend and sister in Jesus, would want is my heart to get hardened.  She would want me to see what's right, she'd want me to tell everyone that she is happily in Heaven and they can go there too, because of Jesus simply Jesus!!.   She would want me to SHINE in the darkness.  We all have things that we can grumble and complain about.   Today choose Joy in Jesus so you can SHINE.   TRUST God so you can SHINE!  😇❤️🦅🌸🙏

Repent and believe

 Mark 1:15 "The time has come", He said, " The kingdom of God is near.  Repent and believe the good news."   Repent and believe,   So simple but in today's world it's harder to look at our sin, anything seems to go.  I told someone about a  lie I told and instead of them agreeing with me that it was sin....they simply said, " that's not so bad everyone tells a white lie now and then".  In order to believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins we first have to see our sins and truly be sorry for it and want to turn from it.   Sin is so difficult to turn from and it's lure can deceive you into pretending it's not sin.  I struggled with alcoholism for almost 30 years before I quit drinking.  And with it many other sins. I was sorry every time I did something stupid 

Or couldn't remember in the morning, but true repentance didn't come tell I actively turned to Jesus to wash me clean and did everything I could to leave my alcoholic behaviors behind.    Repent and believe. Today be inspired to leave the sins that so easily ensnare you and walk I

in faith holding tight  to your TRUST in Jesus.  Through  His blood you are clean!😇🙏🦅🌸❤️

God of all Comfort

2 Corinthians 1:3 " Praise be to the  God  and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father on compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comforts overflows."    A freind of mine asked me how I could have so much compassion yesterday, I said it's because I have had so much pain.   God takes our sufferings and uses them to help others.    It's never easy to walk through the valley.  But when we walk through whatever it is with our feet on the Rock of Jesus  have comfort in the storm.    Today be inspired to comfort others as Jesus comforts you😇🦅❤️🌸🙏

Live in His promise!! Not your pain

Angry at God?

Forgiveness.  Without   it..... a festering soar.  Today it's on my heart that we can be angry at God, that He let something happen or simply didn't move the way we thought He should. .   There are an innumerable amount of things God doesn't stop that I think He should.   He could let our loved ones be healed in this physical earth but in His wisdom, sometimes/ often He doesn't.   It feels a bit anti Christian to say I need to " Forgive " God      It's not that I need to " Forgive" God so much as I have to TRUST God.   TRUST,  His ways are higher then I can think.    I have to TRUST Him in order not to be angry with Him.   Because my anger is like a festering soar.    We are not to even go to bed angry, being angry about our situations can lead to a hardening of our hearts.  We do not want that!! Ephesians 4:18 " They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts."  19 Having lost  all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more."  I hope this helps you let go of your way and TRUST Gods wisdom and go boldly in His direction with Love and forgiveness.   😇🙏🦅❤️🌸

Soar!!

 John 6:37 On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, " If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38 whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water shall flow from within him."  Be filled!!  Today, I am tempted to look at the hole in my life left by the passing of my dear friend.   Yet for her; there is no hole only glory.    As Isaiah 40 says; She will soar like  on the wings of an 🦅 Eagle.  A simple prayer, that helps me be filled, is calling on the name of Jesus.   When I put all my trust in Him and lean not on my own understanding         The hole in my heart gets healing.  We each have holes in our hearts.   Today be inspired to let Jesus fill you, so His streams of living water can flow through and from you😇🦅🌸❤️🙏.  Go Soar!!😇

Selfish ambition wrecks the day

Philippians 2:3 "Do nothing out of selfishness ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  4 Each of you should not look only to your own interests, but also to the interest of others.  5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.     Serve others with a pure heart     I've been a Christian for a long time and I often think of myself as having sincere love in my heart toward others.  But I still do things out of selfish ambition.  Which makes me sad. Yesterday, I had made arrangements with my dear friend and then I changed the plan, mainly cuz I didn't want to get off the River    I acted selfishly.     It's funny to me how I can want to be a " good person " yet continually mess up in my selfishness.    I take some comfort that even the great apostle Paul said, "why is it that I do the things I don't want to do and don't do the things I want to do?"   Today I hope my story helps sincerely put others a head of yourself with a Christ Jesus love.     Happy Mother's Day.   Moms can be so good at sacrificial love😇❤️🌸🙏🦅

Heaven to look forward too😇

John 8:36 " So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."  John 11:25 Jesus said to her," I am the resurrection and the life.   He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;".  One of my dearest Friends . Went to Heaven yesterday.   She is the reason I started sending out these text messages in the morning.   When she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer I knew she'd need support but didn't want to be annoying , so I figured I'd just send her a Bible verse everyday so she could keep her eyes on the Lord.   She was good at that anyways. But I couldn't think of anything else to do that would be of value.    I know she appreciated the verses.  During this past 16 months I have met each of you,  on this text message list and in my heart I felt a Bible verse a day could help you too.    You are on my list because I want you to always remember no matter what Jesus loves you and through Him you are free, even in death you are alive and free.  My dear friend Judy lived her life helping others know this simple truth.   Jesus is the way the truth and the life!   Because of Jesus she had/has a tremendous peace about her.  1 know you are a sinner.  2 Believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the eternal price of your sins.  3 Believe Jesus rose from the grave.   If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth these three  things are true.  You are a Christian and you have Heaven to look forward to.   Today in my grief.  I'm choosing to be thankful for my dearest  friend and extremely thankful I'll see her again because of Jesus!

Forgive, forget and live in love

Yesterday.  I had an opportunity to get mad at my sister but instead of letting anger take my heart,  I truly just felt love and forgiveness.  It took me a couple minutes but truly my heart only felt good toward her.   One of my friends reminded me a while ago, the Bible tells us not to take offense in the first  place.   Today, I hope this little example helps you find love and forgiveness in your heart,  if you feel any offense toward anyone.    I like the acronym LAFF love, accept  forgive and forget.    Now, we need  to simply forget about it.  Which, with my brain is easy😇.  It's important when you've  decided to forgive someone that you  also let it go and forget it.   Jesus takes our sins and removes them as far as the East is from the West and remembers them No More!!    Sometimes (often) the person I need to forgive is me.   I also like the saying" why am I remembering what Jesus has forgotten".    He remembers our sins no more.... He gives us a fresh start moment by moment because of the sacrifice He made for us on the cross.   Today I hope this helps you live in His love and forgiveness and grant that same love and forgiveness to all those in your life😇.   Ephesians 4:32" Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving eachother, just as Christ God forgave you."

Strength and joy to do the next “ right” thing

Philippians 4:13 " I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."    This is one of my favorite verses.   I often think of it when I'm in an athletic event.    But lately I've come to realize much of my athletic endurance helps me in other areas of my life.   My mom relays on me and sometimes, I am just ," not in the mood". But it's not about being in the mood to do the right thing, it's doing what you know God wants you to do, even if you don't "feel " like it.  This is when," I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength " comes in.    What ever lies before you today, do it for the Lord so you can find His strength and joy to do it!!😇🙏🌸❤️🦅

Power in the name of Jesus

Psalm 118:10 " All nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I cut them off.  11 They surrounded me on every side, but in the name of the Lord I cut them off.  12 They swarmed around me like bees, but they died out as quickly as burning thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them off."    A simple, effective prayer is calling on the name of Jesus.   Sometimes when I can't fall asleep because of racing thoughts. I simply close my eyes and think only on His name.   Sometimes I do the same thing when things get hard.   Often I don't know what to pray,  but I know when I call upon the name of Jesus He answers.     I hope you take comfort in this today too.    His arm is never to short and He hears our every prayer, when we pray in Jesus name😇🙏🌸🦅❤️

“Son” room

John 8:36 "So if  the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."   Be free!! As I am in my "Son" room this morning.   The Sun is rising on my face it reminded me of this verse.   The warmth of the "Son" is the comfort we have in Jesus, no matter what we can rest in the fact, " Gods got this!"  His way His timing, simply TRUST completely.    I like having a " Son" room.  It's my special place that I set aside to read my Bible and pray.  No matter where I go in my traveling I always set up a " Spot" to be where I sit and pray.    This is the best way I know to keep myself centered on Trusting God and letting His Holy Spirit guide me in what I think say and do.      I hope you have a " Son" room or  “Son”spot too😇🦅🌸❤️🙏.

Filled from within

Yesterday I witnessed a friend of mine, secretly  draw comfort from doughnuts, cigarettes and a monster drink.  She is also in recovery.  When I am in the middle of my addictions, I often act in a secretive, compulsive way.  I sometimes try to justify taking comfort in my over eating by doing it the open. (Eating lots of corn chips) but when ever I seek internal peace by anything other then Jesus I am left even emptier then before.   I love a good workout or a big bowl of DQ, but when I get comfort in them I am needy again quickly.    When I seek first Jesus, His peace, love and comfort, I am get streams of living water to quench my thirst.   This helps me TRUST Him and be filled in the middle of any storm.    For me, to consistently have His peace I have to consistently turn to Him to fill me up.    If I catch myself being compulsive and acting addictive then I try to STOP and look up.   So I can be filled from with in.    John 7:37 " On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.  38 whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."   😇🌸🙏❤️🦅 John3:34. " For the one whom God has sent, speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit."   May you be filled with His Spirit today and always....  gives true meaning to the phrase"Be filled!"😇
