The Daniel Challenge Day eleven
In this chapter I got a bit lost with the wars. In the notes in my study bible it said that Daniel prophesized this 400 years before it happened down to the detail.
Daniel definitely had God with him.
We too have God with us. Through Jesus we are washed clean and are given a new heart. I am trying to turn my heart to loving others and myself with a pure heart. Yet, I turn back to cookies, ice cream and impatience. When I am fasting and praying and remembering that I am trying to live a life pleasing to him I feel more empowered.
Daniel 11:32 “ And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

Yesterday and today we were camping with my husband's family. I found myself snacking to pass the time - not eating to honor God. Tomorrow is a birthday celebration for my mom - I'm sure there will be food challenges.
ReplyDeleteOn the positive note, I do find myself purposely putting lots of fruits and veggies on my plate and since they take a while for me to eat is does help during these celebration times.

I noticed the first verse mentioned that Daniel was going to be an encouragement to the King and in the second verse he will tell the king the truth. That is what you do Kimberly for me and I know for others. Thanks for being a Daniel in the lives of others.
