Fit Bit ( Resist too many sweets)

Fit Bit (Resist too many sweets)
Good morning, yesterday I had dinner with a dear friend of mine.  She asked me, “Kimberly, you have lost weight, how have you done it?”  I responded,  “I have limited my sweets. “  The other day at work, a gal who is at her ideal body weight pushed away from additional sweets, she said her rule is one treat per meal.  I know with my gluttonous thinking that could equal two really big treats but her treats were clearly just enough to satisfy the treat craving.

When I am walking in victory it is because I have limited my exposure to the temptation in the first place.  When I am facing my temptation, I simply say NO.  I say NO immediately to myself when the initial thought crosses my mind.  If I do that I don’t continue to nurture the temptation and I move on to other thoughts.  If I do not take control of the initial temptation, pretty soon I am doing the very thing I didn’t want to do.

Today be encouraged to say NO immediately when you are tempted to do something you don’t really want to do.

“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

This link is to “Slow Fade”.  We all have temptations that we need to say no to, sweets are a great example of little things we nurture that eventually destroy us.
