Love the light. Let go of the dark

 John 3:19 "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed."   When I was drinking, I hated the addiction but I embraced it above everything else.   If my mother would tell me to, “cut back”, I would get viserally angry.  I wouldn’t say anything to her, out of respect for her; but I resented her thinking she could judge my drinking.          I embraced my sin of drunkenness like it was my divine right.  I have embraced many sins in the same way.    Ask yourself is there a behavior, in your life you are embracing more than walking in God’s full light?   These behaviors (sins) can become strong holds.  I need the help of Jesus to remove the strong holds in my life.   First step for me, is to recognize they are there.   Second step is to humbly ask God to remove them.   Third is to be actually willing to let them go and do so.    Seems so easy, yet it is often a daily battle.   One that is only won by the, powerful gift of Jesus.   May He heal each of  us now!!    Love the light!!! Let go of the dark!
