Old Testament Reading; Exodus 35:1-36:38
The people are donating gold, silver, jewels and fine linen to make a Sanctuary at the Tent of Meeting, where Moses meets with God.  Then Moses was given craftsmen who where filled with God’s Holy Spirit, enabling to do skillful work.
35:35”He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen,, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, ad weavers-all of them master craftsmen and designers. 36:1 So Bezalel, Oholiab and every given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the Lord has commanded.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; God gives each of us skill.  We are all gifted differently.  Sometimes it is easy to forget we are blessed like this.  Our skills are what we are good at and enjoy.  Are you using your skills/gifts for God?

New Testament Reading; Mark 7:31-8:13
Jesus heals a deaf and mute man.  He also feeds four thousand with seven loaves of bread and a few small fish. After feeding this multitude, there were seven basketfuls left.  The first thing Jesus did before multiplying the bread and fish was to GIVE THANKS!
Kimberly’s thoughts; this motivates me to be thankful for what I have, before asking for more.

Psalm 25:16-22
18”Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sin.”

21”May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.”

Old Testament; Exodus 33:7-34:35
During these reading Moses goes back up to the Mountain to get the Commandment tablets again.  He had broken the first set.

34:5Then the Lord came down in the cloud and stood thee with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD.  6And He passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.  Yet He does not leave the guilty unpunished; He punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; God’s love is amazing.  Generational punishment is a tough concept.  I know that I discipline my children and pets because I love them and want them to behave, for the good of all.  It is far easier not to discipline.  The results of no discipline are far worst then the pain of discipline.

New Testament; Mark 7:1-30

14 Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this, 15Nothing outside a man cam make him unclean by going into him.  Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him unclean.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; Yes, it is good to eat healthful, yet a pure heart is where true heath and wellness lies.  We can only have a pure heart through Jesus Christ.

Psalm 25:8-15
11 “For the sake of your name, O Lord, forgive my iniquity, though it is great.”

Kimberly’s thoughts; I take great comfort in knowing I am not the only one whose iniquities are great.  I am so very thankful Jesus died for me, for each and every one of us, to bring us into His righteousness.

Old Testament; Exodus 31:1-33:6
The people build a golden calf to worship while Moses is on Mountain getting the Ten Commandments.
Kimberly’s thoughts; How easily we can get caught up in the ungodly

New Testament; Mark 6:30-56
Jesus feeds five thousand with five fish and two loaves of bread.
Kimberly’s thoughts;  He can make something out of nothing.  His grace is sufficient.  He knows and meets our every need.

Psalm 25:1-7

“To you O Lord I lift up my soul, 2in you I trust, O my God.”

Old Testament reading; Exodus 29:1-30:38
Anointing oils and incense are made and the Lords instructions are clear;
30:33Whoever makes perfume like it and whoever puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off from his people.”
30:38 Whoever makes any like it to enjoy its fragrance must be cut off from his people.”

New Testament; Mark 6:6b-29
Jesus sends out the twelve
8These were His instructions:  “Take nothing for the journey except a staff- no bread no bag no money in your belts.  Wear sandals but not an extra tunic.  10 Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave that town.  11And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave, as a testimony against them.”
Kimberly’s thoughts;  It is nice to know even the disciples had instructions for being rejected…simply shake it off!

Proverbs 5:15-23

18 May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.

Old Testament Exodus 27:1-28:43
27:42 “Make linen undergarments as a covering for the bogy, reaching from the waist to the thigh.  Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting or approach the altar to minister in the Hoy Place, so the will not incur guilt and die.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; this, makes me think of the Mormons undergarments.  I’m not sure if this is the root of their garments or not.  The phrase, ”so they will not incur guilt and die”, gets my attention.  Jesus paid the price for our sin and conquered death.  Through His stripes we are healed.  Only through what he did for us, not what we do, we are healed from guilt, shame and death.

New Testament; Mark 5:21-6:6a
While Jesus was walking through a crowd, a woman who had suffered with bleeding for 12 years touched Jesus’s garments as He was passing.  She did this because she had faith that if she could just touch Him, she would be healed.  She was!!!
5:34  “He said to her, “Daughter, you faith has healed you.  Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.””

Psalm 24:1-10
1”The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it;”

Kimberly’s thoughts; Are you being a good steward of all God has given you?  I certainly fall short.  God, give each of us the desire and ability to be good stewards of the many blessing we have guardianship over.
