Old Testament Reading; Exodus
35:1-36:38
The people are donating gold,
silver, jewels and fine linen to make a Sanctuary at the Tent of Meeting, where
Moses meets with God. Then Moses was
given craftsmen who where filled with God’s Holy Spirit, enabling to do
skillful work.
35:35”He has filled them with
skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen,, designers, embroiderers in blue,
purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, ad weavers-all of them master craftsmen
and designers. 36:1 So Bezalel, Oholiab and every given skill and ability to
know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the
work just as the Lord has commanded.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; God gives each
of us skill. We are all gifted
differently. Sometimes it is easy to
forget we are blessed like this. Our
skills are what we are good at and enjoy.
Are you using your skills/gifts for God?
New Testament Reading; Mark
7:31-8:13
Jesus heals a deaf and mute
man. He also feeds four thousand with
seven loaves of bread and a few small fish. After feeding this multitude, there
were seven basketfuls left. The first
thing Jesus did before multiplying the bread and fish was to GIVE THANKS!
Kimberly’s thoughts; this motivates
me to be thankful for what I have, before asking for more.
Psalm 25:16-22
18”Look upon my affliction
and my distress and take away all my sin.”
21”May integrity and uprightness
protect me, because my hope is in you.”
