Fit Bit (Happy Mothers Day!)
MOM, most of us dearly love our Mothers. A mother is a special woman. Her beauty reaches far beyond her outward
appearance. She is the one who teaches
us compassion, love and attention to detail.
She teaches through example. A
Mother has sincere empathy. I have heard
it said, “A Mother is only as happy as her least happy child.” I completely understand this quote, through
my own experience with motherhood. A
mother loves even if she is not loved back.
Many times that is the case. She
waits patiently for her children to “come around”. A Mothers love is beautiful.
Beautiful as she is, she is still humane, she tries and
fails; yet she continues to get up and try again. Sometimes we try out our worst behaviors on
our Moms. We do this because we trust
her and know, she loves us anyway.
Today, be inspired to give your Mom, your best.
Time is the most precious gift. Try to give your Mom, your time. A simple phone call, a visit, a meal all very
appreciated gifts. If you have lost your
own mom, spend time in prayer thanking God for the time you did have with
her. Do you know a Mom who has lost a
child? Call her and acknowledge her.
Today is a special day, Happy Mothers Day!! Do what you can to honor those you can.
1 Peter 3:1-5
“Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that , if any
of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the
behavior of their wives,” 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your
lives. 3Your beauty should not come from
outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and
fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be
that your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which
is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the
past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.”
Be fit and be blessed,
Kimberly
