FIt Bit ( Save you in this Storm)

Fit Bit (Save you in this storm)

It is amazing to me how things on the outside can look so good, yet on the inside can be such a mess.  Currently I am training for an Iron Man.  God willing I will complete my first Iron Man in Maryland Oct. 7th, 2017.  My fitness looks good and my physical appearance is okay for a 55-year-old woman.   Although, I look all right from the outside, currently I am feeling so overwhelmed on the inside.  Life is never as we plan.  What gets me through these days is knowing that God never changes.  Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  He never gives up on me, or the ones that I love.  Today.  His promise of love is what keeps me healthy.  Sure I exercise, try to eat right and get good quality sleep, but keeping God first is how I truly stay strong.

Most of us are going through something.  We all have seasons.  Today what ever comes your way, be encouraged to stay strong and healthy by putting Jesus first.

Mark 4:30  “And He said,  “Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God?  Or with what comparison shall we compare it?
31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
32But when it is sown, it growth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.” “

This passage reminds me, that if I hold on tight to God and His promises, those that I love will be encouraged to do the same and my whole family can be like the Oak tree by the river grounded and rooted in Christ Jesus.

May His blessings reign upon you, today and always!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit ( A mothers' prayer of trust)

Fit Bit (A mother’s prayer of trust)
A Mother’s love wants only what is best for her children.  This mom wants them to know the Lord, be filled with His peace and let His word guide their steps.  Yet, in order to get this end, sometimes there will be great pain.  I am so tired of pain.  My plan is to love my children through whatever they have to go through.  Trusting God all the way!

Here is my Mother’s prayer;

Lord, my mother’s prayer today is that I hold fast to the promises that you have given us in your word.  Let me trust completely that you know each of us intimately, love us, will never leave us nor forsake us and that you have good plan for each of us.  LET ME NOT WAIVER, in my trust in you.  Let me remember that you love me and love the ones I love.  Help me to never forget to trust you with the one I love.  Let me not worry, but have complete faith in you.
Through Jesus Holy name I pray,
            Amen

Mathew 28:20  “Lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Jeremiah 29:11 “”For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord,  “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”’

In order for me to stay “FIT” I have to stay away from worry and fear.  As a mom, it is very tempting to worry about my children.  Worry brings me nothing but grey hair and over eating.  If you are tempted to worry, change your mind; trust Jesus with the ones you love.  He loves them even more then you do.

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (Strained Relationships)

Fit Bit (Strained Relationships)

Good Morning, the other day, my friend Darlene Rolle and I did a breakfast retreat we titled, “Laughs B4 Lunch”.  We had a great time with our sold out crowd!  Darlene is a Christian comedian and wonderful.  I spoke on keeping the joy of the Lord in our hearts and helping others do the same regardless of our circumstances.  We had a lot of fun and plenty of laughter!  Praise GOD!!!

After the retreat, a lady came up to me and we spoke about the pain she is feeling because of a strained relationship with her father.  I coached her in a couple things and we prayed.

Many of us have strained relationships, when this happens It really affects our ability to stay well in our lives.  When I have a strained relationship, what really helps me, is praying sincerely for that person.  Sometimes, if I am very angry, it is very difficult to get the prayer out.  Yet, when I do it really blesses me and helps me refocus on God’s joy and peace.  I also like to remember that Jesus loves me, loves the ones I love and the ones I am struggling with.

I hope this Fit Bit helps you remember to pray for those you are struggling with.

Mathew 5:44  “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit ( Refocus Prayer)

Fit Bit (A refocus prayer/ Get your head on Straight)

Does your mind ever wander while you are reading God’s word?  Mine does.
Today I am sitting here in my Grandmothers’ kitchen and thinking of many things as I read His Word.  I have read a whole chapter and retained about zero.

I prayed, “ Lord, this beautiful lake view could be a dessert, a snow storm or a street, but your Word is unchanging, your word is a lamp unto my feet, my strength and my hope.  Please Lord fill me with your Holy Spirit, so I may hear, learn and be filled with your Word.  Through Jesus Holy name I pray, AMEN.

Many time my mind goes into directions I need it not to.  I have found that if I ask the Lord to fill me with His Holy Sprit and change my mind it helps me.  I hope this little Fit Bit can help you too.  After all as we think, so shall we be.

Proverbs 23:7  “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

Psalm 119:105 “ Your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light on my path.”

Philippians 4:8  “Finally Brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, what ever things are pure whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report if there is any virtue and if there is anything praise worthy meditate on these things.”

Be fit and be blessed,

FIt Bit (THE Joy of the LORD is my STRENGTH!!)

Fit Bit
(The Joy of the Lord is my Strength!)
Nehemiah 8:10  “Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD:  neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

The JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH!!    I love living in thanksgiving and peace!  I have plenty of trials that I face, yet HIS joy is my ever-present strength!  I have many things that go wrong each and every day.  Yet, I keep looking up and when I do, even if things are “OFF” I am “ON”.

John 10:10 “ The thief comes, but to kill steal and destroy, I have come that they may have life to the full and in abundance!!”

It is SUMMER TIME!  This is my favorite season.  I love to ride bicycle, water ski and swim.  I love campfires and 6 marshmallow smores.  I believe it is important to have and enjoy our lives.  If I walk around miserable, then people see me miserable and certainly would not want to be like me.  If, I live in HIS joy and enjoy my life regardless of my circumstances, people want to know how I do it.  That gives me an awesome chance to witness.

Today be inspired to live in HIS joy!  Let His joy be your strength.  Be HIS light, no matter what darkness lurks.

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
