Fit Bit (fit vs. fat)

Fit Bit (fit vs. fat)
Going into the Holidays ten pounds over weight and a bit out of shape may make you feel like waiting until the New Year to tackle your issues.

DON’T PUT OFF UNTIL TOMORROW WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY!

NEVER WEARY IN WELL DOING!

This Holiday season, be inspired to honor God, in all you think, say and do!

We start with Thanksgiving, how very appropriate!  Be thankful for what we have!  Many of us have lost loved ones, our health, finances etc.…yet, even amongst terrible pain, we can all still count our blessings and focus on the fact Jesus loves us, knows our every need, is meeting our needs and will never leave us or forsake us!

This season join me in being fit while enjoying the Holidays, keeping them Holy and Honoring God.

Today, and each day as life presents you challenges think, “I am FIT not FAT!  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!  (Including eating less and moving more.)

WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

 FIT VS.FAT

HOLY VS. HECTIC THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!!!

John 3:16  “FOR GOD LOVED THE WORLD SO MUCH THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON THAT ANYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.”

Be fit an be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit BIt (made right)

Fit Bit (Made right)

Sometimes, I find myself lazy, driven to sweets or fatty foods.  I can feel selfish, resentful and hopeless.  When I get into such a funk it feels like hell here on earth.  My only way out is to remember, no matter what is plaguing me; Jesus loves me and is working things out for my good.  The opposite of trusting God is self-pity.  We all get into funks.  How do you get out of yours?  How do you stay out of the funk in the first place?  Personally I get out and stay out, by reading the Bible most days, fellowshipping with like-minded Christian friends and trying my best to keep walking and spreading His love regardless of how I may feel.   When I intentionally adjust my thoughts to His promises, He gets rid of my pain, and renews His right Spirit within me, so my desires and actions follow.

Putting away my fleshly desires, and spreading His love; is like getting a slice of heaven here on earth.

1 Corinthians 15:58  “So my dear brothers, since future victory is sure, be strong and steady, always abounding in the Lord’s work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever wasted as it would be if there were no resurrection.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (Healthy Choices)

Fit Bit (Healthful Choices)
Ice cream, cheese, cookies, chips all fun for the moment but can be devastating to the body.  Sweets can be addictive.  Of course, one can argue moderation, but there are some of us who don’t manage moderation very well.  What do you do if you or someone you love struggles with moderation?   Replace toxic choices with good ones!

What ever you, or your loved one is struggling with, remove it from you home.  Replace it healthful choices.  Keep fruits, vegetables and healthful snacks easily available.  Focus on what you can do, not what you are struggling with.

Toxic choices are not only food related, do you have thoughts and patterns you need to replace with healthful choices?  You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

Changing your behavior starts with prayer and changing your thoughts.

Philippians 4:13  “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Proverbs 16:3  “Commit your work to the Lord, then you will succeed.”

Matthew 28:20 “and then teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you; and be sure of this-that I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit ( I hope there is water skiing in Heaven)

Fit Bit  (I hope there is water skiing in Heaven)
Yesterday, September 25th, I went water skiing and tubing with my friend’s which included a couple of small children.  What joy it was to spend time enjoying life.

Do you have something you like to do so much here on Earth that you really don’t know if you will like Heaven as well?

I love to water-ski, spend time with my family, mountain bike, walk my dogs, ride bicycle…so very many things I love to do right here right now.

What will Heaven be like?  Could it possibly be as fun as it is here?

Mathew 23:37  ‘Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind.  38,39 This is the first and greatest commandment.  The second most important is similar:  Love you neighbor as much as you love yourself.  40 All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets stem from these two laws and are fulfilled if you obey them.  Keep only these and you will find that you are obeying all the others.”

I’m not really worried about what Heaven will be like, I just trust that it will be better then here.  I do know that when I spend time in love here.  I feel like I am in Heaven.

Today, intentionally spread His love…Get a taste of Heaven here on Earth.  A Healthy Heart is the first step to a Healthy life.

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
