A call for help. Please

A call for help from Kimberly
Dear friends and family,

If you are getting this you receive my Fit Bits.  Many of you have said you like them and appreciate my work.  I desperately need your help.  I know God has heard all our prayers for my Brand New Beautiful Daughter in Law Erin.  She had a massive pulmonary embolism and received CPR for about 45 minutes.  Machines are helping her maintain right now.  She needs a miracle.  We all need a miracle for her. So please pray for her.  I know God knows has heard our tireless prayers and many are praying.  I am asking you to join our prayer team and agree with us is complete healing for Erin.  In the Bible it said that even the unjust judge gave the woman what she wanted because of her continually asking him.  I don’t know what God wants from us, but I am hoping your prayers will help Him to decide to give Erin back to us in this physical life with complete restoration.

Erin has a beautiful family that trusts God, please pray for them too.

I know we all have trouble, but please take time to pray for our dear Erin’s healing.

Pray in Jesus name always.  God promises to answer righteous persons prayers.  We are all made righteous through Jesus, and never on our own accord.

18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Mancomes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Fit Bit ( Be Strong and of God Courage!

Fit Bit (Be Strong and of Good Courage)
Jesus as my Corner Stone is the Rock I call on for my strength.  The ROCK that always stands strong!  I am really good at beating my self up and remembering my “screw ups”.  I am getting better at forgiving others and loving them the way they are. Yet, when I do something that breaks God’s laws I can feel paralyzed and hopeless.  When I am in the “beat up Kimberly mode”, I find it difficult to have strength and courage. 

In order to get the strength and courage I need to face my day, my week or what ever the task is at hand.  I have to go back to Jesus loves me.  He knew I would do this or that screw up and He died for me anyway.  He takes all my (our) sin and removes it as far as the East is from the West.  This seems easier to believe when I am having relatively good behavior but it is true also in the midst of my sin. 

For me to be Strong and of good Courage, I have to repent of my sins, try my best to not repeat them and trust in Jesus for forgiveness.  This gives me the continual FRESH start I need to start my day, week or simple task as a warrior ready for whatever battle may lay a head. 


Today, Be strong and of good courage, for the Lord your God is with you!

Joshua 1:9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Fit Bit ( Look for the Rainbow)

This past weekend I was able to be a part of helping pamper Mom’s of children with disabilities.  When I went into this I was truly not realizing what many of them have to deal with on a daily basis.  Many haven’t slept through the night in years, or have to deal with toileting issues on a daily basis.  I went into the weekend hoping to recover my cost by selling my DVD’s.   I left, wanting to give them more.  I went there to “Do my thing”, with “Music, Movement and a Message”.  I left there touched by their love, patience and kindness.  It takes a special person to be loving and kind through a storm.  Thank you Mom’s for helping me see the rainbow.

Emily Colson was the Key Note for this event.  Her testimony was learning how to embrace her son’s disability and not be overwhelmed by it.  He has autism.  Her story was finding the rainbow (Dancing with Max).  I sat next to a woman that has a child that is four years old, non verbal and has toileting issues.  Her rainbow may be harder to find.  Yet, Jesus says He will never leave us or forsake us, He says, He will be with us always. (Mathew 28:20) For me, my storms seem small compared to others, yet in the midst of my storms, they can feel overwhelming.  The only way, I get through my storms, is to remember Jesus loves me and He loves the ones I love even more then I do.  This helps me see the rainbow. 

Today, whatever your circumstances may entail, see the rainbow.

Psalm 30:5 “ For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning”

Psalm 31:24  “ Be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.”

Fit Bit ( If it makes you happy?)

Fit Bit  (If it makes you happy?)

Currently I am up at the Lake house.  I get to spend time here do to the generosity of a dear friend (he bought our family cabin).  I grew up here.  I love it here.  I love the memories I have here.  I miss the activity that used to be here.  I miss the family that used to be here.  It’s cold here today and my friends have all left for the season. I feel a bit empty.   The song that keeps coming to my mind is, “If It Makes You Happy” by Cheryl Crow. 

A long time ago, one of my friends was going through counseling. His counselor asked him if he was happy in his marriage.  She told him to do “what makes him happy”.  That is some messed up advise!!!  He went on to get a divorce and has been chasing happiness ever since.

In Cheryl Crows song she sings, “If it makes you happy, it can’t be that bad.  If it makes you happy, then why are you so sad?”

I love the saying, “The secret to happiness is not having what you want it’s wanting what you have.”   Bottom line happiness is fleeting.  It’s a feeling that can come and go depending on the weather, coffee, chocolate and other peoples actions or lack there of.  Joy, that’s where it at!!  Joy comes from the Lord.  I feel His joy daily when I remember He loves me.  His love for me inspires me to love Him back.  I do this by grounding myself in His word and doing my best to walk the walk, even when it doesn’t feel happy.  Part of living in the joy of the Lord is doing His work.  Work isn’t fleeting happiness, but in it, I feel His joy.  Here at the lake, by myself it doesn't feel like I am doing His work.

Mainly His joy is a free gift; through the work He did on the Cross-for you and me.  I am sure that it wasn’t a happy thing He did on the cross.  Yet, because of it, we can all have ever lasting joy.   Its not our work but His completed work that brings us joy.

Today, be happy!  Accept the Joy he died to give you.  Be inspired to muster up the courage to do what’s right, if it makes you happy or not.  Live in His joy. 

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;  I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

Fit Bit (What comes out)
Ephesians 4:29  Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”


I am a caregiver for my mother.   I love my mom.  I want to help her have a good life. She is aging and unable to manage her own life.  The problem I have is, she wears me out.  She has alcohol-induced dementia, yet doesn’t recognize that alcohol has destroyed her life.  She protects her “one drink” with everything she has.  She fights me on many things and her words are continually negative.  I am trying to be a loving daughter and provide for her.  Yet, I am starting to feel like it’s too exhausting.  I pray, “Lord, let me not weary in well doing.”  Mainly, when I am with her, it’s her words that bring me down.  She continually states how much she hates it here and how miserable she is.  Her negativity, is life sucking.  I pray that the Lord will fill her with His Holy Spirit and she will radiate the fruits of His Spirit.  So far, this isn’t happening.

I wonder why it is, that some people get the fruits of the Spirit and others, simply don’t.

What I know; if we speak life it helps those around us as well as ourselves.  We all have things to complain about.  Complaining doesn’t make things better.  It only makes things worse.  Today, regardless of what happens, focus on what’s right.  We all also have something good to think of too. Think about how much Jesus loves you, that’s enough!!
