Old Testament Exodus 1:1-3:22
During these chapters, the
Israelites became slaves in Egypt. Moses
was born, but because the Pharaoh had an order to kill all the baby boys, his
mother put him in a basket in the river and the Pharos’s daughter rescued
him. Moses grew up. He was chosen by
God to get the Israelites out of Egypt and take them to the promise land. 3:11 But Moses said to God, Who am I, that I
should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt? 12 And God said, I will be with you.
Life Lesson; When God is with us we
can do great things, we need not fear, He will give us the ability.
New Testament; Mathew 26:1-30
26:6 While Jesus was in
Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came to Him with
an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on His head as He
was reclining at the table. 8When the
disciples saw this, they were indignant.
“Why this waste?” They asked. “This perfume could have been sold at a high
price and the money given to the poor.” 10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them,
“Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11The poor you will always have with you, but
you will not always have me.
Life lesson; although charitable
deeds are good, honoring God, must come first.
Have you ever gotten so caught up in your good works that you fell short
on your worship?
Psalm 19:1-6
“The Heavens declare the
glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”
