Old Testament Reading; Exodus
37:1-38:31
This is the continuation of
description in much detail about the extravagant care they put into the
Sanctuary, The tent of Meeting.
New Testament; Mark 8:14-9:1
8:34 “Then He called the
crowd to Him along with His disciples and said: “If anyone would
come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35For whoever wants to save his life will
lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save
it. 36What good is it for a man to gain
the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?
37Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 38If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in
this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him
when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
Kimberly’s thought’s; what a
powerful chapter!!! In today’s times it
is easy to coward a bit when talking about the Lord. There is an anti-Christians theme in our
society. The ungodly are not
acknowledging their sin as sin. They are
declaring their sin as reasonable behavior and acceptable to teach to children.
If a Christian speaks out against such things as adultery, drunkenness,
abortion, premarital sex and debt we are called unloving. Personally, I prefer to be rejected by man
then to be rejected by God.
Proverbs 6:1-11
6:6 “Go to the ant, you
sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!
7It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions
in summer and gathers its food at harvest.”
