Power of prayer. Pray in faith!!

James 1:5-8 "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.  6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  7 That a man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."    Sometimes I’m this double minded man.  I pray and trust God with something and then I go back to doing what I can to get my way.   I pray but then I try to fix it.   Sometimes I don’t even pray because I feel like Gods not going to do it anyways.    Wow.   It’s a sad sad thing to be a faith based lady knowing I have this depravity in my heart.    Today, I will try harder to TRUST God.  I will try hard to remember HE KNOWS and He loves me and the ones I pray for more than I do.  I will try to Truly give all my anxiety to the Lord.   God has has some amazing answers to many of my prayers.   But a few He in His infinite wisdom has answered in a way I can’t understand.   I pray today we each can be single minded trusting God here’s and answers our prayers in His way and His timing for His great good.”

Thanks everyone for all your prayers for my Isabelle.  I was thankful she made it tell I returned home from my dads , I did believe she would.  I prayed in faith and knew you were praying too so I had confidence.   I know God doesn’t always do this.   But today my little pup is walking, pooping, eating and drinking.  She is seemingly healthy for an old dog.   I was thinking about how good she is doing and remembered how many had prayed for her.   Thank you all I get some more “good” time with my beautiful dog.

When uou pointing finger four point back at you

John 3:19 "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil."     When I read  John 3 today I'm pondering why I don't spread His good news every where I go.  Am I'm clutching the dark and not the light?  If I believe what I say I believe, wouldn't I do everything I can to keep others and myself from the grip of darkness?    Sin is a deceiving thing.   You just open the door a little and compromise takes over.    We each have sins that we struggle with.  We can convince ourselves, our sin isn’t really a bad sin and point fingers to others we think sin worse.   When we point A finger four fingers are pointing back at us.  Today may you love the light and flee from the sin that so easily ensnares you. πŸ˜‡πŸ™❤️🌸 Avoid justifying your sin, pretending it’s not as bad as someone else’s.  All sin temps us away from God

The purpose of life

What is the purpose of life?    This is a question my dear freind and I were discussing.  The first thing that comes to my mind is to know and love God.   When I love, God I read His word and try to do what it says.  I of course fail miserably, but I keep brushing myself off, accepting the forgiveness Jesus died to give me and try, try, try again.   Charles Stanley quoted, "Be Gods man/woman, in Gods place, doing Gods work,  Gods way.   What an order!! Today that is resonating with me.   I ask myself, “Am I fulfilling my purpose in life, by keeping God, His work and His ways first in my life?  Or am I seeking after my own pleasures?    I also wonder if I can do both.  God has given me desires in my heart.   He has given me talents and abilities.     I have to be careful that I use all of them for His glory and not my self indulgence.   Hebrews 13:21"equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him," Through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever, Amen.  "

Grasshoppers building a space ship?

Isaiah 40:22 "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy and spreads them out like a tent to live in."

We are like grasshoppers!!  We can't understand God and His ways any more then a grasshopper can build a space ship.   We all go through trials that do not feel fair.  Sometimes during those trials it's very very difficult.    Through it all, we are blessed when we TRUST Jesus.     Jeremiah 17:7-8 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.  8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."   Today and always , be like that tree!!πŸ˜‡πŸ™πŸŒΈKnow we can’t understand, but we can TRUST!!

Too late?

"Life on Earth is soon to pass, only what's done for Christ will last."   Sometimes I feel like I am chasing the wind.  But when I stop and share the Good News of Jesus Christ I know I've helped someone.      This world is fleeting.  If we live a long time it's still only about 100 years.  That is not long compared to eternity.  A dear friend of mine recently passed.   I tried to witness to her.  But she would only take texts and not a phone call or a visit.   She had texted, yes I believe in Heaven.   I texted back, there is only one way to Heaven through Jesus Christ.     John 14:6 "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."  I went on via text to explain 1.  Do you know you are a sinner and can't save yourself?  2. Do you believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty of your sins and make you right with God?  3. Do you believe Jesus rose from the dead?     I heard nothing more from my friend.   I pray she did TRUST Jesus for her salvation.

It's hard to loose someone you love when you don't have the assurance they are going to Heaven.

In todays world, I can keep my mouth closed waiting for a good time to talk about Jesus.    Sometimes we don't get that time.   Be bold!  Share the Gospel!! Only what's done for Christ will lastπŸ™

One place at a time

Psalm 91. "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty."

Today, is the longest day of the year!! I love having these beautiful "Son" filled days!!   I just returned home from visiting my Father and his beautiful family in CA.    I left wishing we lived closer, wanting more time.  I returned home to my still alive puppy of 181/2 years.   She is actually doing really well, compared to where she was.   I spent time at my dads’ worried about my dog.  I was trying to, rest in the shelter of the Most High, but I kept feeling bad, about having her dying while I wasn't there.   I felt bad my friend had to deal with it.   My point is; I wasn't truly resting in the shelter of the Most High.   I was taking on worry and when I did it stole the joy of my present moment.      Our minds can't be in two places at one time.   I have found that it is best to be in my present moment.  Enjoying where where I am and trusting God in everything.   Today, be inspired to truly Rest in the shelter of the Most High!!   God loves you more than you can imagine.  He knows, He is handling every aspect of our lives!  πŸ˜‡πŸ™πŸŒΈ

The hat that lasts

1Timothy 4:7-8 " Have nothing to do with god less myths and old wives tales; rather train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."

Godliness and physical training are the two things I hope to accomplish most of my days.    If I miss the physical training then it's not a big deal.  But if I take my eyes off Jesus my hope diminishes.   I used to put all my energy in my physical fitness.    A friend of mine asked me, “ what happens if you can’t do your fitness?” I said I’ll still be a child of God.   I love to do outdoor athletic activities.   I hope I always can.  But my true value is being a child of God.  I was a really good athlete at one point in my life and I lost that identity.   I was a Hockey mom at one point and I lost that, a soccer mom, a runner, a triathlete.   I’ve worn many hats but the hat that lasts is being a child of God.  No matter what we loose we always have Jesus.    Matthew 28:20 “ Lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age.”

Today I’m visiting my dad for Fathers day in California.  I wouldn’t rather be anyplace else.  But back home my dearest puppy if 181/2 years  looks like she is actively passing   My friend is watching her.  I am praying that she makes it tell I get home and I’m asking you to pray for that too.   I will really miss my Isabelle
