Healthy and Well (strength3)

Healthy and Well Strength 3
Proverbs 31:25  “ Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in the time to come.”

I love the topic of strength. His strength is in us every day.  We are never alone. Mathew 28:20   “ Lo,  I am with you always.” Often we don’t have the strength, He always does.  When you don’t have the strength and desire to go on, or to try harder call on Him.  His strength is sufficient. (2 Corinthians 3:5)

It is mid week, have you done something to increase your strength this week?

Many of us our lack strength in our core, today let’s concentrate on our abdominal muscles.
We can safely work our abs everyday.  We need to exercise them at least three times a week.  Our abdominal muscles atrophy, like any others.  This lack of tone in our abs attributes to chronic back pain.  Our core muscles help support our internal organs too.  It is essential to work our cores.

Things to try, to increase core strength;

1.     Establish a daily exercise routine, which includes exercises that target core strength. (My Grace DVDs all have abs sections.)
2.     Intentionally add core exercises to your desk time or car time.  (Practice pushing your back against the back of your chair, using your tummy muscles.)
3.     Practice posture, posture, and posture.  Remember shoulders back and down belly button to spine in your daily activities.

When you do core exercises aim for three sets of 20-30 reps. we don’t need to build bulk in our abs, we need them to be toned, so they can help us.

Be fit, be blessed and be strong!

Healthy and well comments strength 2

This week I'm focusing on arm strength.  I'm experiencing pretty intense pain in my upper left arm area.  It might be frozen shoulder.  I'm hoping that working the arm muscle groups will help with range of motion.  Next week I plan on doing Kimberly's DVD at least once.

For strength I'm adding pilates and the physique 57 dvds. Pliates helps with both strength as well as flexibility.
