Healthy and Well (stretch 4)
Stretching…AHH 

Yes it feels good to stretch!  Wake up in the morning, yawn, stretch, and wake up those muscles.  Stretching helps us with good body awareness.  It improves our flexibility and performance level.  Stretching wards off the aches and pains.

Balance.  Today as we practice stretching let’s incorporate balance training.  We have all heard the phrase, “ use it or loose it”.  This is especially true with balance.  When we are young, we jump from rock to rock crossing the creek, as we get older we cautiously walk and when we have lost our balance we don’t cross on the rocks.  This is a great example of the normal loss of balance in our life times.  Some of us now put, on our socks, while sitting instead of while standing which is another good example of loss of balance.  Balance is easier to maintain then it is to get back.  Use it or loose it! Balancing exercises incorporate core strength, and good posture.  Today and each day forward add a little balance work to your stretch routine.  Balance is good for our body and good for our lives.
