Faith fills us up with hope

Galatians 3:3 "Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?

Galatians 3: 14 "He redeemed us in order that the blessings given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by Faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit."   

By faith we are saved!!   What are you looking at today?   Are you looking at your problems or are you looking at God and His tremendous provision?   In the best of times and in the worst of times let's keep our eyes on the prize of Jesus Christ.   This world is a temporary home with temporary problems even the hardest of hard is only a moment compared to eternity.   Today, let's focus on love, hope and faith in Jesus Christ.  His arm is not too short.   His ways are greater than what we can reason out.  TRUST😇🙏♥️💃🌸

Big God!! Bigger then any problem

" Don't tell God you've got a big problem; tell your problem you've got a big God!   What we think about grows.   When I think about a problem it gets bigger in my head.  But when I think about how God is my all sovereign, all loving, all providing Father I remember that no matter how hopeless I may feel I can walk in assurance, God will provide!  He cares for each of us so intimately, not a single prayer goes unnoticed.  Let’s TRUST Him in all things, be patient and make the good use of our time in the waiting.  Psalm 46:10 " Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."   1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you."  Making good use of our time is focusing on our God not our problems😇.   Be thankful.  It’s the perfect way to focus on His ability to supply all our needs.  😇💃🙏♥️🌸

Too busy to give?

Proverbs 3:27 "Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is within your power to act. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, " Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow" -when you have it with you."   Why is it so hard to just do good?   Why does, " I don't feel like it." win?   It takes effort to do life Gods way.   To intensionally  love on people when we are "busy".   This weekend we are kicking off Summer time.   Many people are busy in the Summer, trying to fit in all the fun things they can't do in the Colder months.  I have found, it truly doesn't take much time to intentionally invest in someone else.  When I do, the joy I get far out weighs the pleasure I get from my selfishness business.  Be inspired to add, giving to your Summer schedule.😇🌷♥️🙏💃🌸.   I’ve often been on the receiving end of friends being very giving.  Wow!! It's so wonderful to feel the love of Jesus through others!!!

Walking humbly

James 4:10 " Humble yourself before the Lord, and He will lift you up."  Humility, such a tough thing for me I tend to walk in pride.   As I do, it's full of pain.   Pride is continuing trying to make life my way, and not being patient with God.  Humility is accepting what He has for me instead of forcing things He doesn't have for me.  It’s important to try for things.  It’s also important to stop when God is saying stop!  Accepting stop is humility.   Contentment with great joy is a gift from God.  I get there often but in the next moment I gaze on what I think I should have that I don't.      How silly to be walking in anything aside from thankfulness.  I pray today that I Humbly walk with my Lord, knowing all is as it should be.   His ways are truly greater than mine.  Thinking I know better than God is definitely pride. 😇🙏♥️💃🌸 I hope this helps you evaluate if you are walking in pride or humility today.

James 4:17 “Anyone then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it sins.”   It’s not only stopping when God says stop but it’s starting when God says start!!  His ways not ours is Humility.  I’m not sure why, with as much energy as Hod has given me, that I don’t do what He shows me to do!!😇🙏♥️💃🌸

Power in His word

Proverbs 4:18 "The path of the righteous is like a gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.  19 But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble."    I love that the Holy Spirit shows me how I am stumbling.  I don't like the correction of discipline.  I love the knowledge and understanding I get from it.  Today I am spending my last full day in Peru.  It's been a marvelous experience.   I’ve met so many beautiful people and seen so many amazing places.   Today, as I watch the sunrise, I'm reminded to let His word rise and guide my moments.   Yesterday I was able to explain the Gospel  to someone very dear to me.  He fully believed and was thankful to receive it.  I used the Bible when I explained the Gospel and quoted scripture. it gave my words truth.  It's Gods word that makes a difference in people's lives.  Not Kimberly's thoughts.   It’s Gods word that has the power to transform lives.  Let His word rise in you today like the light of the

full day.  Shine His light upon others!!😇🙏💃♥️🌸

Resist and Draw near

James 4:7-8 "Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8. Come near to God and He will come near to you."

Today is my 61st birthday.  Wow!   I remember when I thought 60 was old.   It's actually an amazing time in my life.   I have had many hard times, I prefer to count my blessings in my here and now.           Last year for my 60th. I vowed to do 60 new things.   Which I did and more.   This year im convicted to get rid  of my stinking thinking.    That's why I am choosing James 4:7-8.      I can perseverate on things not from God.   This year my goal is to continually draw near to God resisting the things that take my focus away from Him.     Thanks for being in my circle of friends!  😇🙏♥️💃🌸.  Let's do this together resist the devil so he flees from us and draw near to God so He draws near to us!!😇

Son rise

This morning I'm thankful for a beautiful sun rise.   Everyday let's be thankful for The true Son Rise!!   I am traveling and yesterday I was blessed to share the gospel with a young man who had never heard it.   And a young woman raised in a catholic church that had never heard it presented in the way I was able to explain it.   It's amazing the opportunities God provides when we walk around being thankful for His Son's rise!😇♥️🙏💃. I find people are more attracted to people with cheerful hearts.  Proverbs 17:22" A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the  bones." 

A mothers love is not based in fear

 Psalms 62:8 “ Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.”  Happy Mother's Day!😇🙏♥️💃.  I'm in Peru and the Mother's Day celebrations are wonderful!  It reminds me of what a privilege it is to be a mom.   This is my first Mother's Day without my mom and my first Mother's Day as a grandma.  It's hard for me not to be with my family today.  I really miss them.  There is an old saying, "A mother is only as happy as her least happy child.", certainly I know this!! My heart is attached to my children and my precious grandchild.   I have to be careful not to worry about my children but to TRUST God with them.   Worrying and trying to control things in their lives is not Godly love.  It's a mothers heart to love her children.   Worry and fear are not based on love.   Perfect love casts out fear!!  ( 1 John 4:8) Perfect love comes from God.  We can, TRUST HIM WITH OUR CHILDREN!!  We do our best to raise them in His truth, using discipline, love and trying to set a good example. Ultimately it's Gods’ hand in their lives that helps them the most.  One of our main main jobs as a mother is to pray for our children and love them.   Love them where they are at.   Love them like Jesus loves us!!  Happy Mothers Day!!

His Truth not my lies

Hebrews 4:13 "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account."    Nothing is hidden from our Lord!!! Lately I have been praying about things when I think about things, in my head.   When I talk to God about situations in my life, He convicts me of truth.   When I ramble on ,in my head about things, I can start believing my own wrong perceptions.   Nothing is hidden from God.  Be encouraged to talk to Him first about everything. When we pray and read scripture we here His truth not our lies.  😇🙏♥️💃🌸

Joy in the Perseverance

 James 4:2 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. " 

Perseverance; keep on keeping on!! Keep on keeping on with a heart of joy knowing God is with you and providing exactly what you need.   Sometimes I think He should do things differently, but God doesn't ask me, He shows me He knows!!  

Praise be !!

Psalm 68:19 "Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior; who daily bears our burdens." He daily bears our burdens!! No worries be happy!!  It's such a simple concept.  I'm not sure why I keep trying to help Gods very strong, capable, all knowing, all powerful hand.😇🙏♥️💃🌸. He daily bears our burdens.   Gods got this!!

Don’t worry be happy

Psalm 68:19 "Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior; don’t worry be happy !! daily bears our burdens." He daily bears our burdens!! No worries be happy!!  It's such a simple concept.  I'm not sure why I keep trying to help Gods very strong, capable, all knowing, all powerful hand.😇🙏♥️💃🌸

We are the righteous!!

Romans 10:4 "Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes ."   Throughout the Bible it refers to the "Righteous".  That is us!!!! I know that I am not righteous.  I want to be, but I continually fall short.    It's not my behavior but what Jesus did for me that makes each of us righteous!! He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and in exchange He gives us His righteousness!!! We are the righteous!! Just believe!!  Do you believe this? Do you see your self as redeemed? Spotless? Most treasured possession of God?  That is who you are!!  Thank you Jesus!!! In this world we have rejection, harshness and disapproval often even from ourselves.   In Jesus we have a new life of acceptance,  approval, kindness, joy and ❤️ love.   Be encouraged to live in His love today!!!

Anxious? Maybe it’s your behavior?

Matthew 11:28 " Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, you will find rest for your souls.  30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."  Rest for our souls!!! I can get anxious about things.   I can take on things I should say no to and then procrastinate.   When I procrastinate I get anxious.  There are two types of stress.   Good stress and bad stress.    Good stress is healthy. It help us get our work done.   When I don't do the things I need to do it causes me to feel the bad stress which is not healthy.   If I am anxious I am not resting in His peace.      I also get anxious when I am doing things contrary to His word.    I hope this helps you too, take His yoke upon you.   Identify any anxious thoughts within you and truly give it to God.  Including if that means you need to change your behaviors.😇♥️🙏💃🌸

That’s not who I am!

John 3:19 "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come  into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.  21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done by God."   These are the words of Jesus.   When I was a drinker I often was ashamed and hid my deeds done in darkness.  When Jesus set me free I became a new creation!   I am no longer embarrassed about who I was because that is not who I am!!   Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!!!  I still have to reflect daily, am I seeking Gods light or darkness?   Even after all these years being free from alcohol.  I have to be careful not to be gazing at the wrong things.    This is the humane condition. 😇♥️🌸💃🙏. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize of Jesus!!!

Present is a present

Romans 12:12 "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Be joyful in hope patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.   What a great way to live!!!   There is an old saying, "Hope floats!"  When I keep my eyes on the joy of Jesus. I can wait patiently for what He is providing.   It's easy for me to day dream about what I think God should do.  I have learned, staying in my present moment TRUSTING Jesus is the most fulfilling.  It’s good to have dreams.  Let’s not let our dreams steal the joy of your present.  The present is a present!!😇🙏♥️💃🌸. Let's live in our here and now with hope, joy and patience.

Dwell in Jesus

Psalm 91:9 “If you make the Most High your dwelling-even the Lord, who is my refuge-10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come to your tent.  11For He will command His Angela concerning you to gaurd you in all your ways.”     The company we keep is so important, let the Lord be the main company you keep!😇🙏♥️💃🌸

The company we keep

 The company we keep.......is so very very important!   2 Peter 3:17 "Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this be on your gaurd so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. 18 But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ  To Him be the glory both now and forever!  Amen."   "Don't be carried away by the error of lawless men."   The company we keep influences us.  There was a kindergartener that couldn't stop swearing.   The boy was sent to the principals office over and over again.   He cried and said, " I just want to be a good boy, why can't I be a _____ good boy.     What's wrong with this_______.  I just want to be a good boy.    This child longed to be good but obviously he didn't know how to talk without swearing.  Likely that is how His parents spoke. He simply didn't know any different.  When picking friends for our "inner circle ", be careful.    When I quit drinking I had to get new friends that lived sober.  If I would have stayed in my old circles I would have stayed in my old ways.
