Proverbs 31 day 4

Proverbs 31 study “Kimberly’s take (day four)
Verse to memorize this week:

Proverbs 31:10-11 “Who can find a virtuous woman?  For her price is far above rubies.  The heart of her husband doth safely trust her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.”

Today we must realize it is not enough to be simply hears of the word we must be doers of the word.  (James 1:22)    In Donnas’ book, today she suggests that if we are doers we will instill confidence, and we will not be harmful.   We all have certain sins that plague us.  God calls us to a higher level of obedience as we follow Him.  We are still humane.  Some sins are hard to break.  I am a recovering alcoholic.  I needed to get professional help and a support group to break this sin, in addition to calling on God.  Today identify something that you need to change in your life.  Make a plan.  Do it!  Change does not happen overnight.  Some of us are delivered immediately but most of us have to make a continued commitment to our new desired behavior until it becomes habit.  Even when it becomes habit we must still call on God and His strength to continue to walk a walk that is pleasing to Him.  When we keep on keeping on, people around us will notice that we are the real deal!!

Proverbs 31:11-12 “The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.  She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Summer Fun (last day!!)

Summer Fun, Faith and Fitness(last day)

Today is officially the last day of summer!  How was your summer?

I hope you were able to focus on Faith first, fitness and fun.  Jesus died that we may be saved.  We are able to have eternal life through Him.  We are also able to live in His love while we are here on this earth.  Living in His love is the very foundation to having a good life, a good summer and next a great fall.

John 10:10 “ The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

I hope you enjoyed the Summer Fun, Faith and Fitness series,

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Proverbs 31 study starts Monday Sept. 26th.  Please let me know if you want to be a part of it.

proverbs 31 warm up (4)

Proverbs 31 warm-up with Kimberly (4)

Good Morning,

It has come to my attention that many of us have significant
Stress in our lives.

1 Peter 5:7  “ Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

We all need to be able to cast our cares upon Him on a moment-by-moment basis.  When we allow stress to enter into our thought patterns we live in a very unhealthful place.  Jesus came that we may have and enjoy our lives. (John 10:10).  He loves us each moment of everyday.  Bask in that love and do not let stress plague your heart.  Stress will cause many types of medical and emotional problems.  Fight it with faith!!

Today, let us share how we are able to cast our cares.  We will have stress today, That’s life.  What will you do when it hits?

I exhale, pray and look for a solution.  I sometimes need to just get away and take a quick walk.

Please share…our sharing will help each other.

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Proverbs 31 warm up (3)

Proverbs 31 warm up (3)
As we are preparing our hearts and minds to begin our Proverbs 31 study we realize first we need to seek God.  Yesterday, someone mentioned a frustrating situation at home.  We live with imperfect people.  I find myself needing to regularly exhale and trust God.   If we let frustration take a hold in our life we are not fully trusting God and letting His love flow through us.  We are imperfect!!  We will feel frustrated and desire to give up at times.  Pray,. Pray., Pray. Read the word and fellowship with other radically believing Christian women.  We can walk this walk!!

Home is where our story begins.  How is the health and wellness of your home?  Most of us eat at home.  Do you have fresh fruits and vegetables as part of your daily menu?  When we feed our bodies well, we are less likely to be overcome with emotions.  Today, pay attention to your diet.  Try to drink water as your main beverage (most people should drink 64oz a day, 8-20 oz. at a time).  Eat two to three fresh fruits and five to seven servings of vegetables.  I am confident if you do this you will feel better.

Read the first chapter of the book of Daniel for motivation.

Daniel 1:20 “And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Proverbs 31 warm up (2)

Proverbs 31 warm up w/Kimberly (2)
King Lemuel’s mother advised him how to live.  She said, “Give not thy strength unto women nor ways to that which destroyeth kings.” Proverbs 31:3.

As a woman how do we not take our husbands strength and support him in a life style that will help him?

First we ground, in our love for God, and His love for us.  Knowing, He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to be our Savior. No matter what happens in this world we trust; “All things will work out for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. “Roman 8:28.  This faith allows us to be secure in our lives.  Grounded in Christ, we will not need to put our husbands down or treat them like children. We will be able to respect him for who he is and who he is not.  We will not take our husbands’ strength.!

Secondly, we have to address the physical.  What behaviors, in your house,  have the potential to destroy kings?  Do you have regular sleep patterns?  Do you eat healthful?  Is regular exercise a life style in your home?  Do you create stress or do you help your family de-stress?  Are things in good order in your home?  We each have unique situations.  Today reflect on one thing you can change, in your home to make it a healthier environment.

Please share; this is how we help each other.

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Provebs 31 warm up

Proverbs 31 warm up! With Kimberly
Good Morning Ladies,

Today we are postponing our official Proverbs 31 /” Becoming the Woman God wants us to be”, by Donna Partrow.  There are 15 women who want to join this study and will not receive their book in time for today’s date.  This study has to be started on a Monday so we will be officially stating next Monday the 26th of September.  Mean while this gives us time to recruit more friends to join us!  If you want a book you can also down load one off the BN.com website.  I thought I would take this opportunity to send you out a little Fit Bit to get us going any way today.  Here goes:

In Proverbs 31 King Lamuel. Is being instructed, by his mother on choosing a good wife.  Let us think about that.  If we had a son, what type of women would we want for him?  Our children tend to pick out wives and husbands that remind them of their Mom’s and Dad’s.  Our example is very important!   Ask yourself, are you a woman that you would want for your son?  (Some of you may not have sons …but you get the picture)

In Faith centered Fitness, we encourage each other to:

1.     Seek first the kingdom of God. (Mathews 6:33)
2.     Treat our bodies as His temple. (1 Corinthians 6:19)
3.     Love others as Jesus loves us. (John 13:34)

Today let’s start a warm up for our Proverbs 31 study.
Please share with the group how you will do these simple steps…. listed above

Change is difficult.  All things are possible with God who strengthens us.  I encourage everyone to read at least one chapter of the Bible a day.  Today I read Philippians 4:19   I know, when I focus first on His love for me, I have His strength to make it through the day.  Let us make that our topic of the day.

Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say rejoice.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Summer Fun (feel good!!)

Summer Fun, Faith and Fitness

WOW!  Do I ever feel horrible!  My stomach is aching and I feel so run down.   I have been very busy a work. It has only been a week since I quit exercising and eating well.  Is it possible that my body is feeling the effects of this so quickly?

ABSOLUTELY!!!  I just returned from a women’s retreat.  At the retreat, I encouraged the women to eat healthful and move more.  At the end of the weekend,  one women announced to the group, “I feel great!”.   She attributed her good health to the healthful eating, prayer and exercise.  The other women quickly agreed that they felt better on Sunday then they did on Friday.  During the retreat weekend, we put faith first, had fun and practiced fitness.

The benefit of positive lifestyle choices show up quickly and vise versa.  Get back on track!!!  You deserve it!!!

Remember Daniel?  Daniel 1:15 “And t the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in the flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.”
Also, see Galatians 5:22-23 “ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long- suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. 23 Meekness, Temperance: against such there is no law.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Summer fun...exercise motivation

Summer Fun Faith and Fitness (exercise)
Question:  I was planning on getting more fit this summer.  But, I was busy.  Now fall is approaching and I am afraid I will be in the same old, same old trap.  How can I get a manageable routine and keep up with my obligations?

ANNswer:  Summer is not over yet!  We still have good weather to look forward to. Officially, fall doesn’t start until September 22.

You are worth it!!!  You deserve it!!!!  You are responsible for your health and wellness!!! Excuses such as to busy will not help you!

First, put your exercise routine on your schedule and have it be non-negotiable.  Exercise yourself both physically and spiritually daily.  (I enjoy exercising to contemporary Christian music; this really gives me a lift.)

Second, start small and manageable.  Take five for God.  PICK OUT ONE CHAPTER A DAY!  Proverbs is an easy book to start in.
Plan to, MOVE IT MORE!
Plan to move ten-twenty minutes, over lunch, before or after work or perhaps after dinner. (Dance with your husband, play with your children, walk your dogs, do something you will enjoy!)

We have two weeks before the official start of fall.  Make these last two weeks of summer life changing!!!

1 Timothy 4:8  “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and that which is to come.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
