Fit Bit ( By Faith)

Fit Bit (By Faith)
Sometimes when we first start to eat right and exercise more we experience a temporary weight increase.  I am not sure why this happens.  I’m sure is just water weight.  This dilemma discourages many of my clients.

By faith is how we continue.  Even when you do not see results, continue on in faith.  Do this knowing that if you keep doing what is right your reward will come.

This is true in diet and exercise and it is true is life.  Don’t concentrate on the immediate results.  Look toward your destination.  When we eat healthful and move more, eventually we will feel better and be healthier.  When we walk by faith in God, we will still have trials; yet, we will be able to handle them without falling apart in worry and fear.

Hebrews 11:1-2  “WHAT IS FAITH?  It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen.  It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.  2Men of God in days of old were famous for their faith.”  (Living Word)

Hebrews 11 is a great Faith motivator!

Be fit, be blessed and walk by faith,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (What is success?)

Fit Bit (What is success?)
What is success?  Is it winning the race?  Is it loosing the weight?  Is it being the strongest or having the most money?
I used to be a very successful runner, now I can’t run very fast at all.  Do you think God loves me less?  Some days, I’m good at watching my food intake and managing my money and some days, not so much…. Do you think God loves me more some days then others?  No, His love for each of us is unconditional!   Jesus is with us always and through all things;

Mathew 28:20  “Lo I am with you always even to the end of the age.”

I think success is running the race with endurance, trusting in God’s love all the way!
We were each created uniquely, and on purpose.

Psalm 139:13-14  For you created my inmost being;
 you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
 your works are wonderful,
 I know that full well.

Some of us are talented runners, some of us are good at throwing, and some of us are good at being friendly and creating team spirit. God has a purpose for each of us; we are all a very important part of His team!!

Jeremiah 29:11.”  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Success starts in the HEART.  When we trust Jesus as LORD of our heart, His strength will give us success, regardless of where we finish the race.

Be Strong in your life, whatever your race may be!!

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Be fit, be blessed and be successful in the Lord,

Kimberly

 I believe success is using our talents to the best of our abilities, for His glory.  First place or last place, God grace is with us!  Success is knowing Jesus loves us and is our strength regardless of where we place, regardless of our battle.

Fit Bit (For the Children)

Fit Bit (For the Children)

Many of us want to have better lives.  We want to be able to hold our tempers, manage our food intake, exercise more often, keep our finances in the black etc.…
Yet, we fall short.  Here is some extra motivation;

Your children will mimic your life!!!

Like it or not you are leading by example.  If you put God first in your life, your children will know your strength comes from the Lord.  If you over eat sweets and watch too much TV, they too will find this behavior acceptable.  If you are a gossiper, complainer, speak with fowl language or ridicule your neighbors, don’t be surprised when your children are intolerant.  Like it or not we all lead by example.  We teach the children with our actions.   We are called to bring our children up in the ways of the Lord.  The only way to do it is by walking in the ways of the Lord ourselves.

None of us walk in His ways perfectly.  It is even more important to teach our children that they are loved and forgiven regardless of how many times they fail.    They will only understand this if WE walk in love and forgiveness.  If they see us beating ourselves up because of what we’ve done wrong, they too will forget that Jesus came, lived, suffered, died and rose again, to forgive them and bring them true peace!

Be motivated to walk in Christ’s strength and love today, for the children!!!

Deuteronomy 25:14  “Do not have two different measures in your house, one large, one small.”
Luke 17:1-3  “Jesus said to His disciples:  “Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come.  2It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.  3So watch yourselves.”

Be fit, be blessed and be motivated!!!

Oops I forgot to post this yesterday, I think it is a good one!

April 7
Old Testament Reading;
Deuteronomy 6:1-8:20
6:12 “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.”
8:19-20  “If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them.  I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed.  20Like the nations the Lord destroyed before you so you will be destroyed for not obeying the Lord your God.”

Kimberly’s thoughts:
Where is our nation headed?  I believe it is time to train up our youth in the ways of the Lord.  Many of them do not know.  My generation really dropped the ball here.  Thinking freedom from religion was a cool thing.  My generation said, “ I’m going to let my children make up their own mind.  I’m not going to make them go to church, eat their broccoli or sensor their media.  I will let them choose”.  The problem is my generation was to lazy to teach them the ways of the Lord while the world was busy teaching them the path to destruction. In order for them to make a choice they need all the knowledge. They need to know what true freedom is.  True freedom comes when they understand the Love of Jesus Christ.  They become free of guilt and shame and have a sincere desire to do what God approves of them doing.  I pray that we as adults take the time to do what we can to help our nation.  Take the time to teach our children the truth of GOD!  They will carve out the future of our country.  God has given them free will.  Give them free choice by being as determined to educate them, as the opposition is determined in their deception.
One nation under GOD! (or no nation)

New Testament Reading; Luke11: 33-54
11:33”No one lights a lamp and puts it in a bowl.  Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.”

Kimberly’s thought’s; In today’s world I feel like, many of us Christians only talk about the Lord in Bible study or on Sundays.  Its like we have to keep Him in a politically correct box.  I call it the Sunday Box.  In order for people to know of our great Lord and Savior WE have to tell them!   We are called to be “Fishers of Men”. Today and each day be encouraged to BE BOLD IN YOUR FAITH!!!  The enemy is certainly being bold.

Psalm 42:1-6a

42:1  “As deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.”

Kimberly’s thoughts; If we are not filled with the love of God we are left panting for “what ever” we think will fill us up.

Fit Bit (God's Promise Stands)

Fit Bit (God’s promise still stands)

Hebrews 4:1-3  “Although God’s promise still stands-his promise that all may enter His place of rest- we ought to tremble with fear because some of you may be on the verge of failing to get there after all.  2For this wonderful news-the message that God wants to save us-has been given to us just as it was to those who lived in the time of Moses.  But it didn’t do them any good because they didn’t believe it.  They didn’t mix it with faith.”  (The Living Bible)

I think It is easier to trust God with the stars and the moon and things that are big then it is with intimae details of life.  Life can get so busy we forget to take the time to trust God in our daily moments.  He is ever present.  (Mathew 28:20)  He is easily able to help us with all things, If we need help staying on track with our diets, call on Him.  If we need help holding our your tempers, call on Him.  Finances, ambition, children…all of life’s little and big issues, HE IS WITH US!  HIS PROMISES STILL STAND.  Sometimes when I read of the times of Moses, I think, “ Those fools, how could they not know God was with them?  Then I think of how often, I forget, God has my back, and is handling all I trust Him with.

Today and each day forward, walk in HIS rest!!!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
