Fit Bit ( Be still and know that I am GOD)

Fit Bit (Be Still and Know that I am GOD)
Be still and know that I am GOD.  (Psalm 46:10)
In this world you will have trouble, fear not, I have overcome the world.
(John 16:33)
I discipline my body, so it doesn’t discipline me.  (1 Corinthians 9:27 “paraphrased”)

These are the three verses that are hitting me this morning.  When I get troubled, I try to figure out the solution and implement my plan accordingly.  Often my plan doesn’t work and then I find myself frustrated, conquered and feel I want to
“Give up”.

Then I remember,  “We are more then conquerors through Christ Jesus”.
(Romans 8:37)

I believe being a conqueror, means giving it to GOD and trusting Him fully.

Of course we need to do the legwork He has put in our hearts.  We can’t simply lie on the couch and expect our bodies to get in shape, the laundry to get done or the relationship to get nurtured. While we are giving this life our best shot, and messing up on a regular basis cuz, that’s what we do as humans, We need to Be still and know that He is God and Loves us each so very much, that He has got this too.

What ever your ”THIS” is today.  Try your best, as you let God do the rest.  Trust that HE WILL.   After all, HE IS GOD!!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (A Well-worn Path)

Fit Bit (A well-worn path)

Recently I was helping a friend of mine that is battling depression.  When we met with her therapist he said, “Your thinking and speech is a well worn path, if you want to get well you have to start thinking differently.”

A well-worn path, this is a cool analogy.  I used to use alcohol as my crutch.  I used to use food as my crutch.  They were my “go two’s” when I got anxious or frustrated.  I had to change my thinking in order to get well.  My new well –worn path is trusting God and calling on His name.

What is your well-worn path?  Is it time to change it up?

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (A Mother's Love)

Fit Bit (A Mother’s Love)
In order for us to be truly well we need to have healthy relationships.  Our mother’s have a tremendous influence on our lives.  When I think of a mother’s love I think of kind, nurturing, ever lasting, patient and dedicated.  Then I realize mothers are humane too.  I’m in the phase of life where my mom needs me to take the lead and be all of that for her.  I try, but I fall short,  She has always tried too.   To be in a loving healthy relationship with my mom love I need to love her for all she is and all she is not, focusing on the good.

In Paul’s letter to the Philippians He said,

“Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report:  if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on theses things.”  Philippians 4:8

I have heard it said, “A Mother is only as happy as her least happy child”, I truly can identify with this statement.  I know I have empathy for my children.  I need to remember my mother has empathy for me and I need to give it to her, with a loving presence in all circumstances, in order for us to have a wonderful, healthy, loving Mothers day and beyond.

I hope this inspires you to love your mother with a mother’s love.

Be fit, be blessed and be a wonderful child with the help of God,

Kimberly
