Fit Bit (Courageous)

Fit Bit (Courageous)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Dec 29th, here we are starting to throw away the left over cookies, thinking about putting the decorations away, and looking toward a New Year.

What will 2015 hold for you?  In order to reach our dreams we must first have them.

I heard a number of sermons on Holy Discontentment this year.  Do you have any of that?  Do you have a nagging feeling that you need to change something?

Change is difficult even if it is for the good.  Many times we only change if we are forced to.  Ten years ago, I received a drunk driving ticket.  I was forced to quit drinking unless I was willing to risk getting another ticket and loosing my life, as I knew it.  In order to quit I had to muster up the courage to live my life differently.  That meant new friends, new habits, and hard work.  Deciding to live sober is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.  But this change took courage.  I found the courage in my Lord, Jesus Christ.  On my own, I would have failed.  With Jesus, I am strong and clean.  If you have a Holy discontentment, call on the Lord to help you.  He is with you 24/7.

Deuteronomy 31:6  “Be strong and Courageous.  Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you.  He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (You are Very Special!!)

Fit Bit, You are very special!

Holy, God loves you so much he created you on purpose; he formed you in the womb, every part of you.  He created you, to do what only you can do!!!

Jeremiah 1:15 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

What gets in the way of your special purpose?  For me it has been, alcohol, busyness, promiscuity, materialism, and food and exercise addictions (to name a few).   To do, what God has called me to do, I’ve needed to rid myself from the things I’ve put ahead of God, or at least put those things in perspective.  Personally, I’ve needed to rid myself of alcohol.  I couldn’t’ have managed alcohol, it managed me!  I’ve needed to rid myself of promiscuous behaviors.  Those types of relationships, took over my life, making it impossible for me to be intimate with God.  I am still too busy, I still concern myself with material things, over eat and over exercise.  These problems, I have tried to keep in perspective.  The way I keep them under wraps is by keeping God first in my life.

Mathew 6:33  “Seek ye first the kingdom of God as His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.”

I’m not perfect, are you?    The last guy that was perfect…they hung on a cross!  Because of Jesus’s righteousness we are made right with God.  This Christmas season, celebrates His birth and your rebirth!!

You are very special to God.  He created you on purpose.  This Holiday season, remember YOU ARE LOVED, by the one who matters most!!

Merry Christmas!!

Fit Bit (Celebrate Rspectfull)

Fit Bit (Celebrate respectfully)
Healthy and well throughout the Holidays, sound good right?

This is maybe easier said then done.  Many people gain weight during this season, over spend or do something stupid because they’ve over imbibed.   These indulgent behaviors are very accepted in our culture.  How can these behaviors possibly honor the One we are celebrating?  The answer is, they don’t!

How can you celebrate respectfully?  Remember Jesus is the reason for this season!!

Be Holy= Remember God loves you.  You are His precious child.  He made you on purpose and loves YOU so much that he sent His only begotten Son to die for you, so you could be made right with Him.   Trust Jesus is Lord.  (John 3:16)

Be Healthy= Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1Corinthians 6:19).  Your life is a gift you have been given.  Every thing you have comes from God.  Be a good steward of all your blessings, your physical body, your mind your finances, etc..  Honor God in all you do, or at least try. This shows your love for God and for YOU!

Be Happy= God loves you, love Him back, by being a good steward of your life and you will be happy! (Happy are those whose God is the Lord. Psalm 144:15) Take the love you have through Jesus Christ and spread it!!!  Share His love with other and feel your happiness increase!  Many people act unlovable during the holidays and throughout the year.  Love them anyway, with a Christ type of love.  (John 13:34)

Isaiah 7:14  “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”

John 3:16  “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
1 Corinthians 6:19 “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;”
John 13:34 “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

Psalm 144:15 “Happy is that people, that is in such a case; yea happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.”

Be fit, be blessed and Merry Christmas!!!
