Old Testament Reading; Leviticus 1:1-3:17
3:17 “This is a lasting ordinance fort the generations to come, wherever you live:  You must no eat any fat or any blood.”

Kimberly’s thoughts; when I think of eating fat, I think of my Grandma Muzzy.  She used to love to eat the fat off the steak!  She said it was the best part.  Grandma died in her early 70’s.  I think she died way to early.  My point is; avoid eating the fat.  There is already plenty of fat in our regular diet without eating it intentionally.

New Testament Reading; Mark 9:33-10:12
9:49-50 “Everyone will be salted with fire.  50Salt is food, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again?  Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other.”
10:11 He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.  12And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; I wish I would have truly thought about these scriptures before I married.  I am divorced.  I thought it was a reasonable option.  I received my council on marriage and divorce from this world, not from God.

Psalm 27:1-6
“The Lord is my light and my salvation-who shall I fear?”
Kimberly’s thoughts; the opposite of faith is fear.  Lord, let each of us walk in faith.

Bible Study Feb 26

Feb 26

Old Testament; Exodus 39:1-40:38
After the Tabernacle was complete, which was The Tent of Meeting.   A cloud came upon it and the Glory of the God filled the Tabernacle. The people knew they were not to move on until the cloud was lifted.
Kimberly’s Thoughts; after all the work and expense that went into this Tabernacle, I cannot imagine piking up and moving.  Isn’t that the way life is?  God will have us heavily invested in something and then; He will have us move on.  I think it is difficult to move on.

New Testament Reading; Mark 9:2-32
The healing of a boy with an evil Spirit; A father asked Jesus to rid his boy from the evil spirit, if Jesus could.  This is what happened next;
23-24“If I can?” said Jesus.  “Everything is possible for him who believes.”  24Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “ I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
Kimberly’s thought’s; I use this simple prayer, “I believe, help me with my unbelief”.  We all need help with our faith sometimes.  I trust God in all things, but sometimes I need to exclaim this prayer.

Psalm 26:1-12 This is of David
1 Vindicate me O Lord, for I have led a blameless life.  I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.”

Kimberly’s thoughts; I could never say this; All I could ever say, is Vindicate me O Lord because Jesus died for me.

Fit Bit ( Mediterranean Diet)

Fit Bit (Mediterranean Diet an exercise)
When I was at the Birkie this past weekend.  One of my friends had lost 23 pounds and was back to being in Good shape.  He had started eating the Mediterranean Diet and exercising at least a little everyday.  He did great at the Birkie!!

The Mediterranean Diet is a great way to eat!!  This particular diet plan is recommended by the College of Sports Medicine as a way of teaching clients to eat healthful.  If you try this diet plan, try it as a life style change; diets never work if your goal is to lose weight.  What happens, you lose the weight and then go back to your old way of eating (because you ration in your head the you deserve it).  If people retreat to old habits they end up with old problems.

Exercise too is important.  Make a commitment to move more!

A healthy lifestyle centered in Christ, is true Fitness!!!  When I am truly Fit, I am happier!
Daniel 1:11-15 “Daniel. …Suggested a ten-day diet of only vegetables and water, 13then at the end of this trial period the steward could see how they looked in comparison with the other fellows who ate the king’s rich foo, and decide whether or not to let them continue their diet.  14The steward finally agreed to the test, 15Well, at the end of the ten days, Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and better nourished than the youths who had been eating the food supplied by the king!”

I hope you have a Holy, Healthy and Happy week.

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Old Testament Reading; Exodus 37:1-38:31
This is the continuation of description in much detail about the extravagant care they put into the Sanctuary, The tent of Meeting.

New Testament; Mark 8:14-9:1
8:34 “Then He called the crowd to Him along with His disciples and said:  “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.  35For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.  36What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?  37Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?  38If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
Kimberly’s thought’s; what a powerful chapter!!!  In today’s times it is easy to coward a bit when talking about the Lord.  There is an anti-Christians theme in our society.  The ungodly are not acknowledging their sin as sin.  They are declaring their sin as reasonable behavior and acceptable to teach to children. If a Christian speaks out against such things as adultery, drunkenness, abortion, premarital sex and debt we are called unloving.  Personally, I prefer to be rejected by man then to be rejected by God.

Proverbs 6:1-11
6:6 “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!  7It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.”
