Fit Bit (God's love and patience)

Fit Bit (walk in God’s love and patience)

Last week, I was up at a beautiful lake home, with much solitude and nature yet, I found myself so stressed that I didn’t want to take the time to talk with one of my very best friends whom I see rarely.  WHERE WAS THE LOVE OF GOD IN THAT?

I consider myself a Christian.  Yet, toxic anxiety still comes to live in me.  What can I do?

You are humane; you are susceptible to many emotions.  Try your best to live in God’s love and patience each and every moment.  Stress and anxiety come when we are trying to control too many things.  You are not in control; God is in control of EVERYTHING!!!  TRUUST HIM!!!!! (Do your best; trust Him to do the rest.)

When I get anxious about things, it is because I have forgotten that He is meeting my every need and will provide the perfect solution in His perfect time. (His time not mine)   If I allow the anxiety to take over, I walk in fear and not faith.  This opens the door for my behavioral disorders to rule.  I over eat, over stress, over spend…etc.

To live in God’s love, read His word, trust His word.  His answers are truth.   We humans have been struggling with anxiety and fear since the fall of Adam and Eve.  God gave us the solution through Jesus Christ.  Pray, trust God and fill yourself with His word, the Bible.

2 Thessalonians 3:5  “Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.”

Romans 8:28  “ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Be fit, be blessed and live in God’s love and patience,

Kimberly

Fit Bit ( the fiery furnace)

Fit Bit (The fiery furnace)
Daniel 3:11  “And whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of the fiery furnace.”

This verse from Daniel refers to when King Nebuchadnearr made a decree for all his people to worship an image of Gold.   Shadrach, Me -Shach and Abed -Neogo refused to worship this image and stayed true to Our Heavenly Father, the One True God.  They were thrown into the furnace but God, delivered them and they did not get scorched or even smell like smoke.  (Daniel is an excellent book to read)

Do you ever feel like that?  Do you ever feel like you have to compromise your own values to be a part of the crowd?  In todays world it is not politically correct to speak of Jesus.  Yet we are called as Christians to share His good news!  Do you open your mouth and share your faith or do you keep quiet and hope not to ripple the water?

What about when you are trying to watch your diet and get regular exercise?  Do you stand firm to your hearts desire to live a holy, healthy happy life or do you conform to those around you, who are pushing cookies and inactivity?

God has given you His Holy Spirit.  You know what is right and what is wrong.  You have the strength inside of you to keep going in the right direction.

Philippians 4:13  “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Today, and each day forward be encouraged to do your best not to conform to this world and its ways, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind through Christ Jesus.  Our Heavenly Father will not let you get burned!!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

FIt Bit (fear not)

Fit Bit (Fear Not)
The opposite of FAITH is FEAR.

What do you do when you are fearful?
Overeat?
Over stress?
Get grumpy?
Over exercise?
Panic?
Living in fear is the opposite of living in true wellness.

The first step to a Holy, Healthy and Happy life is to trust God in all things!  He loves you!!  You are His beautiful Child!!!

Let God be your strong fortress, your refuge, your ROCK!  He will never leave you nor forsake you, regardless of how you feel, He is the TRUTH the WAY and the LIGHT.  Relax, in your current situation; trust God is meeting your needs.  Pray, find comfort and joy.  He is the ROCK to build your wellness on.

If you find your self in unhealthy living, ask yourself, “Am I truly trusting GOD?”

Unhealthy behavior is often a condition of the heart.  Jesus is our great healer.

Psalm 31:1-5   “ 1.  In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. 2.  Turn your ear to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me. 3.  Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.  4.  Free me from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge.  5.  Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (Happy Mothers Day)

Fit Bit (Happy Mothers Day!)
MOM, most of us dearly love our Mothers.  A mother is a special woman.  Her beauty reaches far beyond her outward appearance.  She is the one who teaches us compassion, love and attention to detail.  She teaches through example.  A Mother has sincere empathy.  I have heard it said, “A Mother is only as happy as her least happy child.”  I completely understand this quote, through my own experience with motherhood.  A mother loves even if she is not loved back.  Many times that is the case.  She waits patiently for her children to “come around”.  A Mothers love is beautiful.

Beautiful as she is, she is still humane, she tries and fails; yet she continues to get up and try again.  Sometimes we try out our worst behaviors on our Moms.  We do this because we trust her and know, she loves us anyway.  Today, be inspired to give your Mom, your best.

Time is the most precious gift.  Try to give your Mom, your time.  A simple phone call, a visit, a meal all very appreciated gifts.  If you have lost your own mom, spend time in prayer thanking God for the time you did have with her.  Do you know a Mom who has lost a child? Call her and acknowledge her.  Today is a special day, Happy Mothers Day!!  Do what you can to honor those you can.

1 Peter 3:1-5  “Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that , if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,” 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.  3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.  4Instead, it should be that your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit ( I can see clearly now)

Fit Bit (I can see clearly now)
It was not that many years ago that I was caught up in a compulsive, addictive swirl of alcoholism.  Today, I can look back and see how insane it all was.  In order for me to get well I needed to desire a different life.  Even though my alcoholic behavior was insane, it was my comfort zone.  Change is difficult regardless of how necessary it is.  My precursor to change was God opening my eyes to how I was hurting the people around me, especially my children.  Once I could see how my sin was affecting my boys, I experienced a great AH HAH moment.  I am so thankful God removed the scales from my eyes and gave me the strength to do what ever it took to change.

What about you?  Is there a behavior in your life that needs to be changed?  Is God opening your eyes to your need to change?  What has He shown you?

In order to change;
1.     Have the desire.  Open your eyes to the need.
2.     Ask God for His help and strength.  Know He is with you 24/7.
3.     Keep on keeping on, regardless of how many times you try and fail.
4.     Accept the forgiveness Jesus died to give you and leave the past in the past.

John 9:25  “He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know.  One thing I do know, I was blind but now I see!””

John 9:41  “Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin, but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
