Fast and Pray for our nation

Fast and pray for our Nation

This is a call to fast and pray for our Nation.

There is only 39 days left to the election.  I think we are in a very scary place.

I love this nation!!!!

Please fast and pray, and go to the polls.

There is much power in prayer.

I’m fasting sweets, our troops give their lives. What ever you decide to fast it will be a small sacrifice.

There is also a group praying for our nation every night at 9pm(central time) for one minute.  Please join this group too.

John 15:16  “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Fun FIt Bit (speak joy)

Fun Fit Bit (speak joy)
Do you enjoy your life?

Do you focus on what is good?

Do you feel pleasure in helping others?

If we had conversation, would I know you have good things in your life?  Or would I have to ask you is anything in your life good?

Recently, I went for a walk with a long time friend, I hadn’t seen for a while.  After about an hour she said, “Is there anything good going on in your life?”  Her statement blew me away.  I thought I was a peaceful, joyful person.  I obviously only had talked about what I was struggling with and not what I was joyful about.  I am very thankful she turned the conversation around.  We all have struggles.  I think it is important to be able to talk about them.  We also all have things that bring us joy.  It is imperative that we talk about these things too.

Remember;
1.    All men fall short of the glory of God.  There is not one righteous among us, not one.
2.    Jesus is the only one who is righteous.  He was/is not a man, He is God.
3.    John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever, believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. “
4.    John 15; 11  “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”
Concentrate on the joy He has given you…. and talk about it!!!

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit BIt ( no time or desire)

Fit Bit (I don’t have time or desire)
Dear Kimberly,

I know I need to exercise and eat right and quit drinking.  I have many things going on in my lie right now and I don’t have the time or desire to deal with this.  How do I get motivated?  What can I do that is simple and easy?

Sincerely,

I don’t have time or desire.

Dear I don’t have time or desire,

Fake it until you make it!!  (Smile)  Life style changes start in your head and your heart.  The first step is to desire a healthier, happier life.  When you find yourself thinking and wanting food that is not nutritious and a sedentary activities change your mind on purpose!  Same goes for the drinking.  If you find yourself desiring or romancing the alcohol, simply stop and decide to think on what is true.

The truth is fast food, processed foods, to many sweets or high fat foods, and sedentary lifestyle combined with excess alcohol is a recipe for huge health problems.  The people I know that have these types of life issues not only have issues with their health but often issues with their attitude.  If you want a better life you have to take the time and decide to desire a better life.  How do you get motivated?  Just do it!!! Every step you take in the right direction will help motivate you to continue on.  Try my 21-day fitness quest.  It is pretty simple and easy.  Concentrate on what is healthful, forgive yourself when you mess up and keep on keeping on!

Philippians 4:8  “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. “

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Faith Based Fun Club - Bicycle trip
 October 7th 2012  (1-5pm)
We had a blast canoeing this month!!  We will have more fun biking the Sparta-Elroy trail and touring the Norwalk tunnel, next month.

We will meet at the Sparta Chamber office, ride to Norwalk, have a picnic lunch and return home.  The total trip is about 30 miles.  If you prefer to meet in Norwalk at 3pm and ride to Sparta from there, that ride will be mostly down hill.

Please let me know if you are planning to come.  The cost is the trail pass, $4/day or $20/ season.  This fee is payable to many locations on or about the trail.  You may already have a pass.

Depending on the turnout we may move the timing up to have bicyclist that are faster meet earlier.  I’ve chosen the 1-5pm time frame for our Fun Events so we can all enjoy our Church services without rushing.

I hope you can attend….WE WILL HAVE FUN!!!!!  I’d like a head count by Oct. 2nd.  You can still attend if you decide last minute; just let me know so we will be sure to look for you.

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (resist the flesh)

Fit Bit (resist the flesh)
Dear Kimberly,

I am so sick of this heart healthy diet.  I want salt and more red meat.  I also want more treats.  I am angry that I have to do this.  How do I get my head wrapped around this?

Sincerely,

Wanting to not resist the flesh.

Dear Resist the Flesh,

Proverbs 23:7  “ As a man thinketh in his heart so shall he be.”

We all have things we need to stay away from, in order to live a God centered, balanced life.  Each of us struggles with something.  Currently, yours’ is a heart healthy diet.  In order to resist the flesh we have to truly desire doing so.  Every time you think, “I don’t like this heart healthy stuff”, immediately dismiss that thought and replace it with;

 “God,
Thank you for giving me the insight and desire to take care of my body as your temple, please keep my desires upon you and your ways.
Through Jesus name I pray,
 Amen.”

In your minds eye see yourself living a healthy life.  See yourself being Gods’ love.
When harmful thoughts enter your brain, simply dismiss them, through prayer trusting in the powerful gift of Jesus.

In order to wrap your head around this choose your thoughts and keep them Holy.

1 Peter 4:19  “Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful creator.

Be fit and be blessed,
Kimberly
