Fit Bit ( riding the storm out)

Fit Bit (Riding the storm out)
Yesterday my beautiful niece got married. The wedding was set for 3pm, out doors and at 2 pm we had a major thunderstorm hit the area.  She could have been freaked out and upset but she simply rode the storm out in faith.  It so happened that the storm passed and she had a wonderful outdoor wedding.  Eventually, more storm cells came through the area and the wedding celebration had to be moved to an alternative site.  I watched the bride and groom stay calm and enjoy their day with out fret or worry.  It was a beautiful thing to watch them start their life together weathering a big storm in faith and love.

God, tells us to trust Him in all things, to be thankful in our trials. How do you do at that?  I find when I look at what is right and stay in thanksgiving and trust.  I too can ride the storm out.  Today be inspired to trust God in what ever storm you are ridding.  He is with you and will work your trial into a triumph.

Colossians 4:15  “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

Fit Bit (Strength)

Fit Bit (Strength)
My Strength and salvation are from God.

Yesterday I was able to bicycle with some friends.  We rode about 100 miles.  I was strong.  It is amazing to me how God has made my feet run like a deer (so to speak).  I am so very thankful.    I work hard physically to be in shape.  I do this because I love it and I like being physically capable to do the things I like such as water skiing, bicycling and taking longs walks with my dogs.  My physical strength comes from disciplining myself to work.  My Spiritual Strength (which is far more important) also comes from discipline.  Discipline, Grace and the simple gift of the Holy Spirit give me the Spiritual strength to really be strong.  Life is full of things that need us to be physically and Spiritually strong.  It is most important to be strong in the Lord.  He is our ever -present strength.  In order for me to remember He is my ever-present strength I need to stay in his word daily, fellowship with other Christians and pray continually.  How do you stay strong?

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly

1 Timothy 4:8
 “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

“The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.”

Psalm 29:11
“The Lord gives strength to his people;
    the Lord blesses his people with peace.”
