Fit Bit (Fight the dismay of seemingly unanswered prayers
with the sword of God)
Recently, We just finished up our first Son Shine wellness
class and group. This class is designed
to honor my lovely Daughter in law Erin and inspire women to help women spread
His Son’s Shine. Erin was GREAT at
spreading Jesus SHINE!
In this class we spoke of how to TRUST God, in all things,
even in the midst of seemingly unanswered prayers. We all have seemingly unanswered prayers in
common. Yet, during this class we also
remembered we all have miraculous answers to prayer in common too. So why is it so easy to dismiss the miracles
and focus on the hurts? I think it’s
humane to take the pain and try to be in control. That is not what we are called to do as
Christians! We are called to trust God
in all things. We are called to know HE
is the great I am.
John 10:10 “ The thief
comes only but to kill steal and destroy, I have come that they may have life
to the full and in abundance.”
1 Peter 3:12 “For the eyes of the
Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the
face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
John
16:33“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
James 4:8 “ Draw near to God and He will draw near to
you.”
The best way to draw near to God is by getting into His word
by reading His Bible. Once, I heard
someone say, “ Why is it when we talk to God its’ called prayer, but when God
talks to us its called schizophrenia?”
When we pray it’s good, He hears our every prayer through Christ. Prayer
alone is a one sided conversation.
Reading God’s word, taking time to draw near to Him TRUSTING Him as we
do, is when we can truly find His peace.
His word has the power to slay the evil thoughts and the mistrust we may
feel when we experience seemingly unanswered prayers.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God
is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing
soul and spirit, joints and
marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
To be truly fit, and SHINE we need to
be able to sincerely trust in God’s perfect love.
Today be inspired to draw near to God
through His word.
Be fit and be blessed,
Kimberly
