Fit But ( See What's right)

Fit Bit (See what’s right)

John 16:33 ‘I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Years ago, I could be seen by many as a successful athlete.  I say that because, at one point I was in the winners circle.  The truth is now, at 58 and two new knees and a variety of reasons why I’m not in the winners circle I know that I am still winning.  I am winning because I get to keep on keeping on.  I am winning because , I can do many many things that I like to do.  I mostly have energy and attitude to overcome my troubles and get it done.  At one point , when I fell out of the winners circle and people stopped encouraging me to push hard, It was easy for me to “ just not”. But what I have found is when I “just do”, it helps me get it done.  Recently my family was here at the lake,   My nephew, said, “ I’d go knee boarding, but I’m just not “feeling it”.  My response was, I’m really not “ feeling like water skiing either, but I know that when I do, I will be happy I did.  Isn’t that everything?  Often we don’t “feel it”.  Joyce Meyer said, “Feeling are fickle”, you go to bed feeling one way, eat chocolate and feel an other.  We can’t determine our day to day life by our feelings.  We have to go with the truth.  The truth is in this life we will have trouble, we won’t feel like getting things done. Yet, when we set our eyes and hearts on Jesus, WE can muster the energy to do what is set before us and do it well.

Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”

What does this have to do with fitness?  Everything.  Many times we may not feel like eating right,  moving more or being nice to people who we disagree with.  But I promise you, when we do all things, while seeing what’s right through CHIST, we overcome this world.

Be fit, be blessed and be encouraged to see what’s right!!

(The really really good news, is that through Jesus work for us on the cross this world is just our temporary battle, we have Heaven to look forward to.)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXI0B4iMLuU
