FIt Bit (Loose the Baggage!)

Fit Bit (Loose the baggage!)
This weekend my dear friend visited me with her children.  We had a lovely time.  She is hungry for the word of God and His love.  It was wonderful for me to be able to explain the gospel to her.  She asked,  “How to be saved?”  I told her, “It is through your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  It is this simple:

1.     Know that you are a sinner deserving punishment and needing forgiveness.
2.     Know that Jesus died for you, to pay the price for your sins, so you can be justified and forgiven.
3.     Know that Jesus rose from the grave.

If you believe this in your heart and confess it with your mouth, you will be saved.  When you are saved you are a new creation in Jesus Christ.  The old is passed away, and the new is come.”

She said, “So you are saying everybody gets to go to Heaven, no matter how bad they are if they have Jesus?  I said, “Yes”.  She said, “That doesn’t seem fair, that I will be in Heaven with murders and the like.”  I responded, “When we are saved we are “New Creations in Jesus Christ, the old is passed away and the new is come.”  We are made white as snow regardless of how horrible we have been.  Therefore even the most scorned sin is also washed away.  The beautiful thing is Jesus not only takes our sin away, He remembers it no more!!  When we get to Heaven we get glorified bodies.  When we are in Heaven, we will not be bringing a suitcase of past crap.  We will simply BE with HIM in paradise, no baggage for anyone.

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

II Corinthians 5:17  “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things become new.”

II Corinthians 5:21  “For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
