Bible study Jan 20

Jan. 20
Old Testament Genesis 40; 1-41;40
Joseph interpreted dreams for Pharaoh Cupbearer and chief Baker.  The Cupbearer said he would tell Pharaoh of his talent, but he forgot.  It was a two year wait before the Cupbearer told Pharaoh, and he only remembered then because Pharaoh had a dream that needed interpretation.  Life Lesson; God promises us that He hears our prayers and what we ask for will be given to us.  We need to trust Him in all things to do what is best for us in His timing.
New Testament Mathew 14;1-21  John the Baptist was beheaded.  Herod promised a child that he would give her anything she wanted because she pleased him in her dance.  WOW anything, for a minute of pleasure?  Isn’t that what we do?  Lord help each of us discern our words, through the power of your Holy Spirit.  Jesus went on to feed five thousand with two fish and five loaves of bread and had 12 baskets of food left over.  Father, you can make much from not much, I trust you can take my meager existence and use it for your work.  Already you have made me much, much more then I could have ever done.  Thank you Lord, for loving and protecting my family, our house and me.
Proverbs 2; 12-22 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men.  Lord keep your word in our minds, hearts and actions.  Through Jesus Holy Name, Amen.
