Old Testament Reading; Numbers 11:4-13:25
Quail from the Lord
The people complained about the Manna. They said they longed for the meat and fish
they had back in Egypt. The Lord said He
would give them meat until it came out their nostrils. He supplied flocks and flocks of quail, three
feet deep and as far as one could walk in a days travel. The people, whom were ungrateful for the
manna and ate the quail, angered the Lord.
He had a great plague come over those who ate the quail.
Kimberly’s thoughts; this story makes me realize the
importance of being thankful of what I have.
New Testament Reading; Luke 3:23-4:13
The temptation of Jesus
4:1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the
Jordon and was led by the Spirit in the dessert, 2where for forty days He was
tempted by the devil. He ate nothing
during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
3The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God,
tell this stone to become bread.”
4Jesus answered, “It is
written; Man does not live on bread alone.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; Truly when I fill myself with the word
of God, I am full from within and I do not over eat as much.
Proverbs 7:21-27
“With persuasive word she led him astray; she seduced him
with her smooth talk.
