Helathy and Well (veggies too)

Healthy and Well for 2012
How are you doing this fine Monday morning?

Has being in Healthy and Well for 2012 or the Lent Challenge made a difference in your day-to-day activities or thought patterns?  How?

The number one goal for this program is;
1.     Prioritize God and His ways in our lives.  Mathews 6:33 “Seek ye first the kingdom of God”  = HOLY
Many things come up day-to-day, which can rock our boat or steal our joy, giving us the perfect excuse to go back to our destructive comfort zone behaviors.

Have you been able to leave those destructive behaviors in the past, as a way to honor God in your body?  Or are they sneaking back in and you are feeling a bit like giving up?  The bottom line is regardless of how badly we mess up Jesus died for us, washing us clean, God loves us 5 pounds under weight or 100 pounds over weight regardless of our weight or mess ups we are valuable to Him. When I looked my best on the outside I was at my worst on the inside.  To be truly healthy and well is to be at peace with God realizing each moment that He loves us and He will see us through.

This week we are adding eating five to seven servings of vegetables to our daily routines.  In addition to
1.     Pray and read scripture Mathew 6:
2.     Rest in stress
3.     Sleep
4.     Recreate
5.     Exercise (endurance, strength and flexibility)

6.     Eat nutritiously (drink 64oz. water, eat 2-3 fruits & 5-7 serving vegetables)
                  A serving size of vegetables is a half of cup cooked or a full cup raw.

When we concentrate on the behaviors we want to do, we are more likely to leave behind the ones we don’t want to do.  This will help us in our Lent fasts too.

Mathew 10:22 “ And Jesus answered unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.  And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”

Be fit and be blessed,

Kimberly
