Old Testament; Exodus 21:1-22:31
God defines laws and
punishments. It is here where we read,
an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth…(21:23-25)
Kimberly’s thoughts;
I am so Thankful Jesus said we are
to turn the other cheek, forgive and love.
I cannot imagine living life-seeking revenge. It would be a horrible existence.
New Testament; Mark 2:18-3:30
3:25 “If a house is divided against itself, that
house cannot stand.”
Kimberly’s thoughts; Reading this
passage, I am motivated to pray for solidarity in my own home.
Proverbs 5:1-14
3”For the lips of an
adulteress drip honey and her speech is smoother that oil;”
Kimberly’s thoughts; An Adulteress/Adulterer
is a perfect example of a house divided against itself. Jesus said, if one lusts after another s/he
commits adultery in his/her heart. Try
to recognize evil thoughts and take them captive, or our homes will not stand.
